Hold up with radio gone IMO it'll be really hard to break new artists (unless they all give out free downloads)

anyone else agree that this is prolly the most like uncompetitve era in a LONG while on pop radio? It jus seem like every song that's gaining now is mediocre or average...idk... Yeah completely - there are almost no threads on pop I'm even that interested in...and the few I like aren't doin that much

Naw (not anyone in particular)...just somethin I keep seeing people say about pop/rock bands with male singers (i. e. not about new Colbie single, any of Kelly Clarkson or Pink's singles, R&B songs, etc.) OH PLZ I LOVE POP/ROCK BANDS WITH MALE VOCALS! (somebody confirm me on this.. lol) And yes, new Colbie song, I Do Not Hook Up, Please Don't Leave Me are all really generic! Explore that part of the board because I do say that they are pretty generic and s**tty! Sorry...wasn't talkin about just you - was just sayin that a lot of people in general on music boards call male pop/rock generic and think songs like Please Don't Leave Me and Just Dance are completely original Lol at the posts after that one ;D

Yeah (about her looks) it's like she switched up with Kelly Clarkson somehow...noticed that too lol
Was hopin song would be much better though...it's alright IMO but nothin like Bubbly or Realize - also lyrics seem outta sync with the beat for some reason

Why do people only call songs generic if they have a male singer... LOL If you think thats why I dont like this, you are all kinds of wrong! Naw (not anyone in particular)...just somethin I keep seeing people say about pop/rock bands with male singers (i. e. not about new Colbie single, any of Kelly Clarkson or Pink's singles, R&B songs, etc.)

Not sure but I think rock listeners tend to buy whole CDs (much more than pop/rap fans) BTW likin that our Triple A/Rock mixture station is playin this now I'm one for that...I'm more of a rock fan, and I always buy whole CDs (Nickelback, 3 Doors Down, Linkin Park, etc.). Most of my friends are more into rap, and they all have iPods. And what station is that, if you don't mind me asking? Yeah it's Rock 100.5 (WNNX/Atlanta) - it's actually listed as Alternative now, but they like playin Barenaked Ladies, Eric Hutchinson, new Counting Crows tracks, almost every track by Coldplay, Dave Matthews, etc. mixed in with Second Chance, Cage The Elephant, and classic rock Kinda weird though cause we basically have two AAA stations...

Ah yes, here we go: "Stay (Wasting Time)," seven, 1998 "Everyday," eight, 2001-02 "Where Are You Going," seven, 2002 Triple A is so weird IMO...Stay bigger than Crash Into Me...Everyday bigger than Space Between Also wonderin if AAA chart was around for WWYS and Ants Marching (not sure if it was still called "Progressive" back then and chart only listed whole CD instead of tracks)

I'm shocked it is blowing up on iTunes though. It is rare for a rock song to make the charts. Most of the positions are taken by rap and pop songs. Sometimes you get a handful of rock and country Not sure but I think rock listeners tend to buy whole CDs (much more than pop/rap fans) BTW likin that our Triple A/Rock mixture station is playin this now
