^Exactly! And DJ, what are some cheesy songs from '95? If you say anything about the Gin Blossoms, I swear... You know I love the Gin Blossoms Hey the Gin Blossoms were the exact opposite of cheesy (came out when Bryan Adams and Michael Bolton were all over pop ;D) Plus the Gin Blossoms rule BTW this Green Day song is too hard to figure out...I don't get it and I'm too lazy to analyze it

Yeah, I loved "A Lifetime". I remember it peaking at #13 on Hot AC, and I thought it deserved to at least go top 10. Didn't you? Yeah IMO def. should've gone Top 5...thinkin the whole taking your friend's ashes to the beach thing prob. isolated listeners though (guessin that's why it stalled in the teens, but not sure)

You think so? I'll have to listen for that the next time I hear it. Yeah listen to Father Of Mine and then ANRFTW - it's crazy lol

^Is that a more upbeat song? Naw it's not like Juicy, but way more catchy and more modern-sounding I think (kinda like A Lifetime)

If it was sung by a hott female people wouldn't be callin it generic...guarantee they'd be sayin she was the next big thing
They'd kinda have to change the song title though

I thought you were really strict on your definition of what's considered rock and didn't even consider people like Kelly Clarkson and Pink pop rock. But you think that Jonas song is too rock Sorry meant too rock for their pop-teen fans

The Jonas Brothers are more popular than the Beatles

19th #1 here we come! She is gonna get lots of #1 hits this era! GOODBYE BEATLES. Beatles have somethin like twice as many Top 40 hits, and about 15 more Top 10s...If you include Paul McCartney and John Lennon's singles, Mariah gets left in the dust even more...

I say big #1 but short chart run...IMO the production holds this together more than anything else (much more than the actual song) - whoever produced it though deserves an award I think

^still pretty bad. And it sold like 70,000 downloads its first week.. pretty weak for a Jonas single. This one doesnt seem to have any hype at all, unlike "Burnin' Up" Think it's cause they switched up their song to CHR-rock (almost) - it's too rock for their old fans IMO and people who like more rockin stuff are too embarassed to listen to the Jo-Bros I think they should market it to Hot AC (Paranoid I mean, and prob. this too)

Likin that Mariah switched up her style, but IMO nowhere near as good as similar early 00s pop/R&B songs (Where My Girls At, Case Of The Ex, etc.)
Also seems like they wrote title first and kinda forced it in there (hope that didn't come out wrong lol)

Yeah it's not bad IMO but kinda just sounds like a CD cut off one of their 90s CDs

^Basically right now just She Is Love, Her Diamonds, Paranoid, If Today Was Your Last Day (trudging up chart), and Battlefield (actually lookin good) - Waking Up In Vegas is alright IMO, LoveGame was exciting the first couple times I heard it but that's about it
I'd def. like it if The Script or Cage The Elephant would start crossin over though (or any rap act that wasn't electronicized)
Also seems like Kelly and Pink keep puttin out pretty bland stuff IMO

I keep wanting to punch the guy in the stomach when he goes on and on Don't Let Me Go, Don't Let Me Go, Don't Let Me Goooo, Don't Let Me Go, Don't Let Me Go...
They need to release Enough For Now IMO - so much better song
