Yeah Realize had a really long chart run, and I think a lot of stations still have it in recurrent...Meredith Brooks went Top 20 with What Would Happen (I still remember it for some weird reason), but def. agree that Blunt and Powter are one-hit wonders

I think that they had much better songs than "The Middle". Yeah same...my fav's are Work and The Sweetness Listened to this on their web site and didn't really sound that great...alright I guess as a filler song, but IMO sounds like a mediocre track from Collective Soul

Yeah, for me it's the droning nauseating music in the background of the whole song (and her vocals) that makes me wanna hurl - the repetition just makes it worse But really glad it's doin well cause I want other Paramore songs (that I like) to chart well on CHR too

Yeah I think the prob. is that so few straight rock bands (with major strings of hits) have come out in the past five years, and all the bands that came out in the late 90s and early 2000s are gettin too old for CHR

OMG and The Only Exception are both reasons to avoid CHR - OMG is annoying, and TOE is a woman's voice sayin the same thing over and over again with droning music in the background that makes you wanna off yourself

"Come On" by Green River Orinance really deserved to do better than it did. Yeah, definitely - should've been Top 5 IMO - I'm thinkin it prob. wasn't promoted enough cause it should've done something on CHR too

^Yeah not surprised I never heard it cause 99X/Atlanta is pretty light on new songs - I'm movin to North Carolina in a couple weeks actually (for a job) so maybe they'll have a better Alt. station

Nice to see In One Ear debuting. How did Back Against The Wall and Ain't No Rest For The Wicked do? Ain't No Rest For The Wicked peaked at #12 last summer - haven't heard Back Against The Wall (my alt. station plays mostly stuff from 90s and 00s)

^Actually think it's a good enough song that it'd be doin well even with a completely new act singing it - prob. a slower rise though...can't say the same though about No Surprise and Life After You IMO
I actually think Hot AC's pretty good about playin stuff by new artists (compared to other formats)

They see a healthy alternative to heavier, more vulgar rock. I think for a lot of people, name recognition is a big deal. They see it's a power ballad by Daughtry or Nickelback or whom ever...and they listen to it. I guess that can lead to the whole concept of mainstream music being like "fast food", which I disagree with. Wait sorry but that's really unfair - when I listen to it I heard CD singin an authentic song with a lot of emotion in it that sounds really meaningful to him and his life - has nothin to do with how heavy other stuff is or that it's Daughtry singing

It's a We The Kings/Boys Like Girls-type band, kinda like A Rocket To The Moon and Hot Chelle Rae
Don't think it's gonna do much - also kinda surprised it's gettin its start on HAC instead of CHR

Colbie had two CHR Top 10s though and one that peaked in the 20s - if this doesn't chart on pop, she'll be a complete one-hit wonder
Just wondering how this is doing on I-Tunes, cause if it's gonna do well on pop it should def. be gettin a lot of downloads already (like Hey Soul Sister)
