I really like video games, I'm listening to the previews on Itunes to help me decide if I should download the album or not.

Has anyone seen the commercial for this album on youtube? There is a good song used for it but I haven't found out which one it is yet.

She sounds like a cheap dull version of Florence Welch. Sorry but I really don't get the hype.

I can't believe she describes herself as "self-styled gangsta Nancy Sinatra"...what a pretentious non-factor

She sounds like a 60 woman who suffered from a stroke and lost all motor skills of her mouth and vocal chords and is only able to spit out monotonous sentences that she tries to sell to us as music. I ain't falling for that. I did that with Adele and regret every penny of it...granted Adele is better than her by milesss

SO if she has no motor skills, that can only mean that the other female singers of today lack the ability to even open their eyes.

I don't know where you're going with this argument. Even the most reductive of artists today can sing with more emotion than this collagen filled yeti.

That is all a matter of opinion though, just like with so many things in music. I find a lot of emotion in the vocals of Myles Kennedy, but to some people he sounds like a high-pitched hound dog. I can't help the way other people feel.

I can't help the way other people feel. But usually there is a general consensus about the vocal abilities of a singer. Bey, hate her to death, but that gurl can sing live. flawlessly. Kelly? Flawless. GaGa? She's had flawless vocals, especially on her ballads. Lana? doesn't stir up any emotion. very boring. very dry. not hard to sound like her and to sing her one key songs.

Still have to listen to the album, but judging by her two singles, i like her. I consider the music itself and the emotion a voice can carry much better aspects to judge than the quality and technical aspects of the voice. So really, Tom Waits is a great musicians even if he has a terrible voice. Therefore, I like him. I think Lana has a weak voice, but she uses it well enough not to sound dreadful. Surem, my opinion can change after I listen to her album lol

I listened to the album, and deleted it from my computer straight after.. I mean what the heck.. It's trying too hard to be edgy and all the lyrics are so similar, way too much hype and the album is frankly just boring and dull.

lol I think she was just nervous. Her vocals were okay, the performance itself was just weird and awkward

bitch has no stage presence. how do you expect to command the stage when you can't even do it on SNL? Even Adele has a very strong presence on the stage. just her and a stool

She has no stage presence or personality. The album is awful and all sounds the same. I mean if you're making like 10 versions of the same song, you're bound to make one good one, apparently not. Find the lies. Goodbye.

Love the album but her pretentious attitude towards it is what makes her look like a c**t. Now she's saying she won't ever record another album because the whole process is traumatic.
BYE BITCH.

I have listened to the album! Well, the two singles so far, had made me think she was a more ummm serious artist, i don't know, like Keren Ann. But Lana... ummm, I like the album. She has some cool ideas to implement in ehr music, but when faced with two options, she always chooses the bad one. There's so much potential, but it isn't well executed for most part of the album. I have never hold against an artist what other people call some 'pretentious'. Those pretentious artists add new flavor to the old same music. I see Lana's album as a slightly more developed Dido. But where Dido went all sweet, Lana stays somewhat more... focused. Not much, but a bit more.
Sad to know that two of the best tracks "Lolita" and "Lucky Ones" are not in the regular edition. I care about the music on the album, cause that's what I'm going to listen. So if she has no stage presence, or she has a weak voice, i remain unconcerned as long as the studio versions stay with me.

There's a few nice tracks on this album. I like R&B influence on some of the songs... it's a unique style she has.

She looks beautiful on the album cover.
I am not sure if i should even waste my time to listen the album and judge it.
