Kanye reference? So good to me, so right And how you held me in your arms that September nightThe first time you ever saw me cry Or do I just have Yeezy on the brain? I didn't even think of that -- I'm sure that has got to be it.

I officially love this! It's the most logical choice for the follow up to Mine

This is a meh for me, but I do like the lyrics. Its funny that the whole metaphor of her going back to december is the same reason Kelly named her album "my december".... Just saying

I'm glad that this is strongly being considered for the follow up to Mine. It fits in perfectly with the season.

I don't know if the month in the title has so much to do with it. I would hope if it was called Back to June, they'd still pick it It's kind of like her From This Moment On, a big ballad that could do some major damage on the HAC and AC formats and hopefully just as well on Pop and Country

I think that if something as acoustic as The Only Exception can manage a top 15 peak on chr, this has a shot @ top 10 .

don't know what she saw in lautner if she's still missing tan skin and dark meat though... and wants someone with the same name... (and she doesn't mind the lack of abs )

The real Brian would say "FAILure! I refuse to partake in this pity party" Sooooo, I would go through the effort of impersonating someone to mention how I won't? Sorry, my apologies, this snarky reply was brought to you by Picpak. Not me. Again, sorry.

This kind of reminds me of Just A Dream.

Really? Just A Dream seems more dark and morbid. To me, this is kind of this generation's From This Moment On: A bombastic and emotional, almost non country/pop power ballad. From This Moment Is still way better though

This is by no means bombastic. This is very subdued to me, musically it seems to be darker to me, which makes me harken back to JAD, it's not as dark, although I do think it has aspects of wishful thinking, and even a kind of bleak hope about both situations. BTD is by no means as emotionally poignant as JAD is but I do think musically they seems kind of similar in the "sad country landscape kind of way". The subject matter isn't too different although on deals explicitly with death which makes JAD more powerful, I think it's obvious Carrie is more emotionally affected, invested, and involved given the context of the situation. But I can see similarities. From This Moment on is much more optimistic, and uplifting than Back To December is. I don't see how you got that, musically or lyrically. lol.

The bridge I find very bombastic just like From This Moment On. I guess it starts off mellow but so does From This Moment On. But yeah, the bridge with all the drum fills and drum breaks and dramatic strings made me think FTMO I guess this song is a bit darker lyrically on face value, but I think there is something tragic about From This Moment On too, since I believe it is about Shaina's deceased parents

I would never call FTMO sad, just because it seems so fairytale-istic. It's an incredibly happy and romantic song that people dance to on as their first dance as husband and wife. It's way to happy as a song to associate with anything surrouding sadness in my opinion. My dreams came tr-uuuee because of yooo-uuuuyour the reason I believe in loveI certainly don't get happiness when I hear Back To December. I hear regret, maybe a pinch of shame, and sadness.
