The song is a grower for sure, and hopefully it can get some sort of release in the U.S. It would be perfect for Hot AC, and the video is hilarious. ;D
What does Justin Bieber have to do with this?

While traveling on what appears to be a private jet, the 17-year-old pop star filmed a funny TwitVid of his BFF, Ryan Good, and his girlfriend, Ashley Benson, goofing off to their new favorite song. “Look how happy this song makes people @thatrygood and @ashbenzo call me maybe?” Justin wrote Jan. 10. If you listen closely, it sounds like Selena Gomez is laughing in the background and maybe even holding the phone. Currently, Justin and Selena, 19, are obsessing over the Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen and her single. www.hollywoodlife.com/2012/01/10/justin-bieber-private-jet-ashley-benson-ryan-good-carly-rae-jepsen/

Interesting story. It feels weird to think about a 17 year-old having his own private jet, or being able to ride in one.

They should send this for Hot AC adds here in the States. These types of songs are exactly what the format needs right now imo.

You think so? I thought this had the signature pop-rock sound that Hot AC has always loved. If Katy Perry songs are mature enough to top the chart, I don't think this should have a problem.

i personally think this is more on pop rather than pop rock. The lyrics are for people getting crush on someone they just knew or barely knew. hmmm,i still think this cater more on younger people.
Wait, what kind of people actually listen to HAC?I am already 24,should i be in that category?

^Well if you are going by the target audience, you wouldn't fit into that at all because you are a guy. In general Hot ACs target females between the ages of 25 and 54. But I'm pretty sure they focus most heavily on women in their 30s. Of course, each station is a little different.

Phags are basically women in their music taste for the most part. This could do decent but I'd say this would be Top 20 at MOST. This would do much better on the Pop charts. IvanHoe...why do I have this really hot image of you in my head?? Is it cuz of all your avis? I need to know!

^That was pretty much the basis for Hot AC when it first got started; to be hip but without playing rap, hard rock and other music that appealed only to young people. It was also designed to play a mix of old and new music without being "washed up" the way AC stations were. Hot AC still shys away from the "party music" for the most part, although some of it has been charting over the last couple years.
But if these stations specialize in playing Maroon 5, Kelly Clarkson, Adele, Katy Perry, P!nk, etc...why wouldn't they be reaching for a female audience?

There was a radio station in my country called mix fm and they were once consider to be old type of HAC but in a short time they changed their concept to the same type of HAC in America nowadays. In the past, we would not consider party rock anthem even play on HAC but nowadays they play it anyway.
With your description,i guess i am still in the top 40 categorize when i reach 40.

That's exactly what I mean... 5-10 years ago, "Party Rock Anthem" wouldn't have gotten played but these days it can go top 20. Stations are also cutting way down on playing older music too.
I have always preferred Hot AC over Top 40, and I still do.

Hac was meant for me back then.

Three weeks after reaching No. 1 on the Digital Songs chart, Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” (Universal) jumps to the top of the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 chart. The song remains at No. 1 on the Digital Songs chart with 23,000 downloads sold, up 9% over last week, and moves 13-11 on the Hot 100 Airplay chart with an 18% increase in audience. It is just the fourth song from a Canadian artist to reach No. 1 in the close to five year history of the Canadian Hot 100, following Avril Lavigne’s “Girlfriend,” Nikki Yanofsky’s “I Believe,” and Young Artists For Haiti’s “Wavin’ Flag,” which was the last to top the chart, back in March 2010. www.nielsen.com/content/dam/nielsen/en_ca/documents/pdf/newsletters/billboard_canadian-update/nielsen%20music%20canadian%20update.pdfFINALLY.
