I don't know if she's that strong Grammy-wise. She's only been nominated once (and not even for country vocal), and wasn't even nominated last year none of her material from fearless was submitted last year except for love story Well obviously. Where else would she submit? R&B Vocal? And Love Story was her first single and it was big. By all means it should have been nominated for Country Vocal at least.

and love story had just been released when it was submitted. it was just taking off on country and hadn't done anything on pop yet

Whoops. I meant, she's only been nominated twice. Emancipation was mostly buzz and Daydream and in that year she lost every award she was nominated for (lmao). Her debut was nommed for AOTY too

For not including DMB in your picks.
You included U2 and DMB got better reviews than U2, and they sold just around the same in sales as each other. DMB may not make it because U2 is more of a Grammy favorite, but after the big incident last year, the death of a member, DMB is going to be VERY close to making it, and they will for sure get most of the Rock nominations

She wasn't nominated last year? Then how come she performed? Probably for ratings. Miley Cyrus performed too with Taylor and Miley has never been nominated for anything Although I kind of think she might have gotten nommed in BNA, because they always throw a bone to some token teen act, but they didnt' submit her. But the Jonas Brothers probably took up that spot anyway.

Here's my comment now for those rock people I was talking about. I was talking about the major categories, and DMB has never been nominated for a major award, and I don't know if this album will buck the trend

Horrible reply.
After the death of a member that is big! And after the huge scandal last year when they forgot to include LeRoi, ...MTV, Entertainment Weekly, I believe even Perez commented on how shocked they were.

Not to be mean, but I don't think they care.
And like you mentioned, if they aren't even going to acknowledge LeRoi's death, what makes you think they'll give them noms for major grammys?

Umm they care. It is sickening to me just because you don't like DMB you think no one does. They are one of the biggest most known bands of all-time. And the people who put together the show are not all the same people who vote.

And the people who put together the tribute have nothing to do with the voters. When the voters see the album on the list they will remember what happened.;

i don't think it was submitted for country vocal? it was for something else. and love story had just been released when it was submitted. it was just taking off on country and hadn't done anything on pop yet Where was it submitted then? You would think country singers would try to double dip in pop and country, but usually they don't. And when was the submission deadline and when was the voting deadline?
