Womanizer was probably her best chance for a nom for Female Vocal and I think they submitted it last year didn't they?

There aren't a lot of "huge" records this year that we can tell are going to be nominated for ROTY (the way Bleeding Love, Viva La Vida, Rehab, Umbrella, etc) were obvious noms. I would have thought Just Dance would be big enough, but it was nominated for something last year, and I don't know if Poker Face could get in instead But I guess Green Day, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, and U2 released stuff this year, so those could 4 of the ROTY noms

I wonder if all the divas will get nominations. I mean, Mariah is obviously hoping for some. Whitney was a Grammy darling. Beyonce will get tons, obviously. Christina won't release her album so she's out... who else?

I can see Mariah being snubbed. She's not that great with them politically since they didn't give her any awards on air during TEOM and she was completely snubbed last era. Even though someone like her should have really gotten at least, R&B vocal and R&B album.
They submitted IIWAB and SL last time for Beyonce. Don't know why. It was too soon. I think she can at least get R&B Album and R&B Vocal, even though her album should really be in in pop. And Halo should be in pop too, but I'm sure it will be easier for her to win in R&B.
I can see Lady GaGa getting Pop Vocal for Poker Face for sure. And maybe Pop or Dance album. Too bad she got nominated last year, or Best New Artist would have been a shoe in. Not sure about ROTY
Who else..?

if obsessed is any indication mariah doesn't deserve any noms.
lady gaga would have been a shoe-in for best new artist if they hadn't submitted her for dance recording last year

She could've easily gotten every nomination possible in the R&B categories, I bet Ego will get nominated though for R&B Collabo since it was Miss Kanye. I wonder, even if she gets nominated, if the Grammys will give her any awards at all. Those old farts can go either way lol. Can't thin of anyone else lol.

I don't know if she's that strong Grammy-wise. She's only been nominated once (and not even for country vocal), and wasn't even nominated last year

She wasn't nominated last year? Then how come she performed?

Whoops. I meant, she's only been nominated twice. Emancipation was mostly buzz and Daydream and in that year she lost every award she was nominated for (lmao).

"Obsessed" was met with critically acclaim. This album could be huge.

Really? I thought she got R&B album on air last time. Eh. Yeah, she didn't get any of her awards on air. And people thought it was a snub since John Legend won Best New Artist anyway, so showing him win Male R&B was kind of redundant. And interviewers kept asking if she felt snubbed, but she said she was fine with it, since winning the R&B awards meant a lot to her, cause to her it represented finally being accepted by the R&B community for good (and not being seen as a pop artist). Big mistake! She could've easily gotten every nomination possible in the R&B categories, I bet Ego will get nominated though for R&B Collabo since it was Miss Kanye. Oh yeah. Good call. I was thinking she didn't have any rappers on this album, but I can see Ego being nominated in that Collaboration category. Too bad Female Rap doesn't exist anymore, or they'd probably try to nominate Diva LOL
