ALL PUFFED UP: For P. Diddy, it was a week that had both good and bad. Charged by the L.A. Times with being involved in an attempted hit on Tupac Shakur, his other job, that of record executive, is going a little better. Bad Boy’s Making the Band winners Danity Kane will be the #1 album on next week’s HITS Album Sales chart, with a total looking in the 250-275k range. The other top debut appears to be Atlantic South Beach rapper Flo Rida with 70-80k, riding the heels of the smash hit singles, “Low” and “Elevator.” Next up is Island Records Atlanta rapper Rocko at 25-30k. The market was up 3% vs. last week, down 7% vs. same week last year and now down 11% year-to-date. You may now return to searching Ashley Alexandra Dupree videos at girlsgonewild.com. (3/19p)
WOW @ Danity Kane! That's amazing for them! 250-270k without a hit single or much promotion, except MTB.

I'm not too surprised. Their last album had a good first week too and Show stopper wasn't getting much radio play either

"Danity Kane" opened with about 235,000 copies. I'm just astounded by that number. No promotion except MTB and they get that much! People ARE obviously interested in them.

I think maybe radio's trying to figure out how much of that is due to the show. (Just like all the Idol albums always have at least a nice first week)

Wasn't DK's last album opening stunted because they didn't get enough shipments out? I think they could have pulled in even bigger numbers. Either way, glad to see them EASILY getting #1 next week lol.
