I've been thinking about that, and I'm hoping it will. It's his best country single yet!
I have to say, this sounds like it would've made a great track for Hootie & The Blowfish.

It's his best country single yet! I like this, but just no. "Don't Think I Don't Think About It" and "It Won't Be Like This For Long" are much better IMO. "Learn To Live" needs to be the next single. Then that will be his best single!

I can see why a country fan would say that, because the first two singles were more country, and this one is a little more Hootie.
It looks like it is inevitable that this will be hitting #1.

Legend PROGRESS REPORTS • On Hot Country Songs, Darius Rucker becomes the the first artist in nearly 17 years to top the chart with their first three format singles, and the fourth in the past 20 years to do so. Rucker's "Alright" ascends to the top this week, following "Don't Think I Don't Think About It" and "It Won't Be Like This for Long." The most recent acts to run their first three songs to No. 1 were Wynonna (1992), Brooks & Dunn (1992) and Clint Black (1990). Wynonna did time atop the chart with her first three solo songs, while Brooks & Dunn and Black led with each of their first four singles.

And isn't he the most successful black person in country music history?

Charley Pride is more successful, but Darius is probably already one of the most successful

If people don't remember Charley Pride, then yeah.. I guess in the long run, Darius is more popular.

CARRIE HAS HAD 9 CONSECUTIVE #1 HITS ON RADIO&RECORDS WHICH TURNED INTO BILLBOARD SO IT SHOULD COUNT TOO!

WELL BILLBOARD SUCKS. On the official country charts (there is two of them... AllAccess/Mediabase and BB), Carrie has 9 #1s. Billboard is rude for not including the other chart

If people don't remember Charley Pride, then yeah.. I guess in the long run, Darius is more popular. It's mainly country radio's fault that younger people don't know about him. Country radio sucks in the way that they consider a song from 1995 "old". They really should be like active rock stations are, and play stuff from as far back as the 70s. If Led Zeppelin can be played between Shinedown and Disturbed, then Charley Pride (and other classic country artists) can be played between Brad Paisley and Taylor Swift.

Yeah, but they would count it for this record, so she wouldn't have gotten it regardless.
