it matters plenty. This is not just a #1, it is the biggest #1 ever. I know triple A is a small part of radios, but it is still a nice thing. so hush

Hitting #1 on Triple A is like winning $5 in the lottery. It just doesn't matter. AAA has really rich listeners though and lots of advertising $$$ - also think their ratings are just below Alternative's (not far behind) cause so many cities have gained Triple A's in the last couple years and lost Alternatives

They are one of the biggest touring bands and best selling artists of all-time. They have several #1 albums and their last album in 2005 sold almost 2 million ocpies in the US

I will never understand why these type of bands are still around? How do they make money? touring? Are you serious? (Sorry...) Their CD sales are through the roof, and they've been releasin CDs about every other year since 1995...they also make a ridiculous amount of money touring (which it seems like they do every couple years also) I'm guessin Dave Matthews is one of the richest rock musicians in the business right now (besides maybe Chester from Linkin Park or Rob Thomas if he counts)

And yeah, DMB makes a HUGE amount of money touring every year. To this day, one of the biggest touring bands out there.

^Yeah def. JBJ...and prob. Chad Kroeger, Eddie Vedder (I'm guessin, even though they don't really tour anymore), and prob. AC/DC and Kid Rock - someone also told me John Rzeznik makes an insane amount of $$$ cause GGD songs are still played so much on HAC/AC stations (and I guess someone you get $$$ every time ur song is played...not sure how)

I guess it is sort of like TV shows in syndication. Every time Seinfield or Friends is shown, the cast probably gets a couple thousand dollars. John probably gets like $10 or $50 or something everytime a song of his is played. And if you figure 100 stations play a song from them once a day x 7 days a week, that is a pretty nice sum for doing nothing.
