In the last three years, these pop producers have FLOODED the top 40 airwaves with similar sounding, redundant #1 hits. Which of these sounds do you think is getting too old?
We have Dr. Luke in one corner who's produced the similar sounding 'Since U Been Gone' 'U & Ur Hand' 'Girlfriend' and 'Who Knew'...all of which hit #1 on pop.
Then you have Stargate productions, who have produced 'So Sick,' 'Irreplaceable' 'With You' and 'Take a Bow,' all of which hit #1 on pop.
Then you have Timbaland, who has produced 'Promiscuous' 'Sexyback' 'Say It Right' 'The Way I Are' and 'Apoligize,' all of which hit #1 on pop.
As much as i am annoyed by the stargate sound, (it's the SAME BEAT in every song), i gotta give this one to the out-dated Dr. Luke sound. Dr. Luke...the whole 'Since U Been Gone' anti-Britney thing was so so 4 years ago...please give it up. I feel so bad whoever works with this man next.

i am most tired of the dr. luke sound...even though i do loveeeeee who knew...
timbaland's stuff is still hot...and you can see him trying to change it up more...on tracks like elevator...
stargate is just classic 2000's r&b

Dr Luke's sound was getting old, but I think I Kissed A Girl and the other songs he's producing lately with a more dance and or urban edge have progressed his style a bit, kept his sound from sounding that stale.
Timbaland's sound is definitely over. It was too overexposed and this year's singles like Scream, 4 Minutes, and Elevator have been some of this year's most mediocre songs. In terms of combing synths with an urban flavor, The Dream and Tricky have taken over this niche for now.
I think Stargate get a bum rap. People forget that before Irreplaceable, they had a more diverse production portfolio. Nevertheless, I don't think their sound has gotten stale in comparasion. They might use similar beats for a lot of their songs lately, but what keeps them fresher than the others imo is that their songs do stand out (besides their beats) by having different enough chords/production (except With You, which is the only one imo that is too close nonbeatwise to Irreplaceable)

Timbaland, its boring now. Dr Luke, I actually still like, its still fun and gets you going! Stargate Im not burnt out on yet either.
So I say Timba.

The Stargate Sound - I really liked "Irreplaceable" when it was out. "With You" and "Take A Bow" aren't bad either but for some reason I don't think those two pulled it off as well as Beyonce' did. And this, by the way, is coming from someone who likes Rihanna a lot more than Beyonce'.

I don't think anyone expected 'Take a Bow' to be such a big hit though. It blew everything outta the water...there's just something about it that i find special. It might not get to you at first...but after a while it practically becomes IRREPLACEABLE.

I LOVE Take A Bow, I can understand why people dont like it but I love it. Its very simple but I like the melody, the piano/instruments, etc. Very simple but very affective.

Can I place a write-in vote too for the Idol first single sound? I don't like "Take A Bow" because I feel its lyrics are awfully generic and make me cringe.
