Coming off of a huge chart-topping era in the late 90s, The Goo Goo Dolls returned in 2002 with "Here is Gone", which performed modestly on the charts compared to their past hits.
Billboard Hot 100: #18
Pop: #14
Hot AC: #3
Mainstream Rock (Billboard): #29
Personally, I found this song to be one of their best...what about you guys?

Loved it. I prefer some of their bigger hits, but this was really good too. Still enjoy this today!

I think that this (and Gutterflower's other singles) didn't do as well as their more recent stuff because they were still trying to be a pop band with this record, but became more Hot AC-like with their Let Love In album.

Yeah, they done many different types of music. I love anything they've ever put out.
I wish they would perform the stuff from Gutterflower more often but they dont! That album gave them big hits!

Great song. I actually prefer "Big Machine" though.
