This is pretty good. The album cover is really interesting to me....it's making me want to listen to the full CD. It reminds me of WWII which is one of my interests so when this comes out in August I'll have to check it out. The album was funded on Kickstarter....that seems to be the in thing anymore. It seems like a bunch of groups are using that to be more independent from labels. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wait_for_the_Siren

I like the song. Musically, it reminds me of Five Finger Death Punch but vocally it's more melodic and radio-friendly. I'm also very interested in WWII, and have always wondered why no one seems to write lyrics inspired by it (or other historical events, for that matter). Kickstarter is a cool program, especially when it's used for bands that don't sound too indie.

Historical events in songs would be amazing. There's so many things you can do and put so much meaning into it. That's one of the reasons I really loved A Rotterdam November's first album because it was based on WWI and it was different lyrically than other songs released at that time. Looking over the tracklist for this album, it almost looks like it is WWI/WWII inspired (or at least war inspired). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wait_for_the_SirenI never thought I'd see the day where I was more excited for a different Christian rock group's album than Skillet, but I'm just so curious about this album & I think that August is way too far away until release lol. Also, if you've never checked out A Rotterdam November's first album, I highly recommend it. "Crippling Machine" is still one of my favorite songs of all time. rateyourmusic.com/release/album/a_rotterdam_november/a_rotterdam_november/

Yeah, a concept album surrounding historical events would be awesome. I can see why you'd be more interested in these guys than Skillet, especially right now.
Is there a reason that A Rotterdam November's debut isn't on Spotify, but their 2010 album is? That stuff never makes sense to me.

Hm, I have no clue. As far as I know they were still unsigned when they released their second album. I don't know what that one's like because I never checked it out....the first single from it was pretty disappointing to me after their amazing first CD. My guess would be that either they are now signed and the label is withholding the first album from Spotify, or they just started using Spotify as a distribution method and decided to put up their newest material first.
