2. Aaliyah – Enough SaidHearing Miss Haughton’s vocals on a new song really made me appreciate every second of this track. I prefer the solo version without Drake since his verse doesn’t really add anything to it and it feels completely out of place. Anyways, I love the yeah hook in the song and Aaliyah’s vocals are still silky and effortless. Her vocals during the line “Can't you talk to me, let's talk about it, talk about it; tell me what you need, just tell me baby, tell me baby” really emphasize the strongest aspect of her vocals, her ability to emote well.

Man, how did I forget about this? You talked to me about her a lot and I should have known this would rank really high.

1. Havana Brown – We Run The NightThis song was seriously my life this past summer. Don’t even get me started on how badly I wanted this shirt. But anyways, this was undeniably the summer anthem for me and with 3 different versions (with over 400 plays), you can see how much of an infectious jam "We Run The Night" truly was this past year. The “run em like, run em, run em” hook is BY FAR my favorite pop hook of the year. It could not escape my ears. Pitbull did not get credit on my chart since the majority of the plays were the versions without him. To conclude, Havana Brown has extended the top 2 year end foreign artist chart record (La Roux’s Bulletproof was #1 on my year end in 2010 and Mr. Saxobeat was #2 on my year end 2011).

Solid #1. Not my favorite song of the year by any means, but a strong pop song that deserved to do better than it did in the mainstream.
Oh yeah, and that shirt is awesome! ;D
