Before you go crazy and tell me that Nicole is an unoriginal pop artist who can't score a hit, make slanderous comments about her personality or try to suggest she sleeps with record executives, just hear me out. This thread isn't about her music, but rather about a trend she has started as a diva.
During the past couple of years, Nicole has served as a judge on two reality shows, The Sing-Off and The X Factor. She received criticism for doing this as many people felt judging reality shows was only for divas of the past. However, since then people have changed their attitudes and now current divas judging on these shows has become a regular thing. Whether it be Jennifer Lopez on American Idol, Christina Aguilera on The Voice or Britney Spears making her way to The X Factor, this trend seems to be all the rage.
Do you agree that Nicole can be credited here? Or, like always, am I getting super defensive about an artist who I only like because I think she's hot?

Hell NO. Paula Abdul started the trend.Lol. Paula Abdul's singing career was pretty much done when she started judging American Idol. Nicole was the first current diva to do it, and that's what this poll is about. The only groundbreaking thing she's done is flop more times than any other artist. And yet her singles are consistently better than those of Katy Perry...but that's another topic entirely. |

LOL no I honestly forgot she was even on X Factor once the news about Britney and Demi came out.
I do enjoy her music though.

I freaking LOVE her, I'm assuming you're all American cause I get that some Americans think if you don't chart on the American charts you're an automatic flop. Her first three debut singles were in top 3 over here in the UK and one of them No.1 'Don't Hold Your Breath' (LOVE IT SO MUCH). Her album was also in the top 10 and the other singles charted within the top 20. I don't get why some people don't like her? Have you actually listened to her album, I LOVE it and have you seen her perform? She can sing opera for Christ sake, look it up! edit: realise this sounds like I'm having a go at you guys lol I'm not just saying  |

It's great to see that people from other countries are giving Nicole the love she deserves. I'm a big fan of her and don't understand the hate she gets around here. I'm hoping that 2013 can be her breakout year here in the States, but if not at least she has a following elsewhere.

Yeah me too, she performed at the Royal Variety show in 2011 click here seriously watch it 3:55 is where you really wanna watch from, it will educate you what she can do with her voice lol. I NEED a second album from her now |

Um, I don't think so. Nicole was never even C-List. She never even released her album in the USA! People here in the USA don't even know her name, they just recognize her as the fearless amazon leader of the Pussycat Dolls. Some people find her attractive too for some reason. Not sure why. Christina was the first A-List star to break down the barriers. Who did you have on these kind of shows before her? Paula Abdul? Nicole Scherzinger? That washed up c**t from Boyz II Men?  But now look after Christina, you have other A-Listers like Brinty, Nicki Minaj and even Mariah Carey following her footsteps. History doesn't lie. |

I'm sorry are you seriously trying to tell me Nicole Scherzinger isn't attractive? Hell I'm gay and she could easily turn me straight this photo right here, freaking Flawless, also look at um I dunno every single one of her music videos. Just because you don't release an album in the US doesn't mean you're not famous? It just means that the US doesn't realise her talent and always needs artists with gimmics and other stuff-example Rihanna. Nicole Scherzinger could sing and dance circles around Rihanna. She is very successful outside the US, there are another 190 countries or so |

Oooohh, Nicole looks gorgerous in that picture, especially her hair! Simply flawfree! Those earrings are also amazing! Magenta really looks fab on her.Not gonna lie, I'd give to her all night long and slap her after we're done, if she looked like that normally
And I know the USA isn't everything, but for what we were discussing (Did Nicole revolutionize reality tv in the USA), I don't think she had enough star power to do it.
