I compiled a list of the artists with the most appearances. It was VERY close between Lita Ford and Alanis Morissette, but Alanis has just one more song on the list than Lita! Although that's probably because the entire Jagged Little Pill album made the list. 1. Alanis Morissette – 21 2. Lita Ford - 20 3. Heart – 18 3. Pat Benatar – 18 5. Oasis - 13 6. Dokken – 12 6. Rush – 12 8. Dio – 10 8. Madonna – 10 8. Pearl Jam – 10 8. Rainbow – 10 8. Type O Negative – 10 I'm also going to compile a list of the most dominant genres in the top 500

Looking at that list, here are some songs that I hope make the top 500:
Pearl Jam - State Of Love And Trust Rush - Limelight Madonna - Hung Up

"Limelight" is definitely on the list! "State Of Love And Trust" BARELY missed out, "Hung Up" missed as well. It was VERY tough choosing just 500 songs. I usually do 1,000 but I didn't want to do a super long list this time, so a lot of songs I LOVE aren't on the list. These are like the songs I SUPER LOVE.

That's interesting. Do you go by itunes to determine the genre, or do you do it yourself?

Metal as in active/death metal or 80s hair band metal? Just wondering cause I can't believe you have 141 death metal songs on your list! ;D

THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS NOW!If you click on the name of the song, there will be a link to the song via YouTube. I did this rather than embed YouTube because I don't know about you guys, but that slows down my computer. 500. Journey – Faithfully (1983)An amazing ballad off their classic 1983 album, Frontiers. It's not one of my favorites from them as they have five other songs still to come, but it's still a great track nonetheless. Love Steve Perry's vocals on this one. 499. Tori Amos – The Waitress (1994)BUT IIIIIIIIII BELIEVE IN PEAAAAAACE, BITCH! One of the best lines ever tbh. Great song, this was always one of my favorites from Under The Pink. She has eight more songs still to come. 498. Madonna – Bad Girl (1993)Actually, for those who don't know, at one point in my life this was once my #1 favorite song of all-time. In Christmas 2003, around the time I was OBSESSED with Madonna, all I asked for that year for Christmas were rare Madonna CD singles, and this single was one of the ones I asked for. I got it, as well as some others like “Secret” and “Nothing Really Matters” and other songs of hers that I don't feel like mentioning right now since this commentary is about “Bad Girl” , and I just fell in love with this song. The problem is though, I fell a little TOO much in love with it. From January to May of 2004, I listened to this song on repeat daily, as well as watching the video and the 1993 Saturday Night Live performance of this. Another problem is that when I did this, I didn't use headphones, so it annoyed the crap out of my parents and brother, and as a result my Dad took this song away from me for a day until I got all diva on him and asked for it back. Back to the song itself though, this is underrated beyond belief. It's definitely one of her best ballads and probably one of her best vocally as well. The Erotica album isn't really as ~SEXUAL!11~ as everyone makes it out to be. It's actually a great album and among one of her best. Madonna has eight other songs still to come, including another single from this album. The album track “Thief Of Hearts” came VERY close to making the list but it barely missed out. 497. Whitesnake – Gambler (1984)The intro to this song sounds EXACTLY like their song, “Love Ain't No Stranger”. The only difference is that LANS missed the list, even though that's a good song too. I heard this song for the first time through Eddie Trunk a couple months ago and it has quickly become one of my favorite Whitesnake songs. This is going to be their last appearance for awhile though as they only have two other songs on the list and both are in the top 300. 496. Janet Jackson – Go Deep (1998)Surprisingly, her only appearance on the list. When I said that there are a lot of songs that surprisingly missed out, I meant it. Obviously this is my favorite Janet song, I love the 90's sound to it. The video was cute too. I wish she would go back to Velvet Rope-era type music. 495. Fastball – The Way (1998)My parents always loved this song. However, I had a love/hate relationship with it back in the day. I love it now though. Whatever happened to them anyway? LOL. 494. Blackstreet featuring Dr. Dre – No Diggity (1996)If this song isn't a JAM!, I don't know what is. I seriously don't think I know anyone who hates this song. Definitely an R&B classic. 493. Snoop Dogg – Gin & Juice (1994)Although I'm not into his more recent music, I always thought his 90's material was badass, and this is no exception. This isn't my favorite from him as he has two other songs on this list (one of them he's a featuring artist on), but this is still a great song and definitely one of his best. A 90's classic. 492. Joan Jett – Do You Wanna Touch (Oh Yeah) (1982)I remember hearing this song for the first time on American Top 40 and I had no idea who it was because I missed Casey Kasem's introduction for this, I just remember finding this catchy as hell. I don't remember when or how but eventually I found out this was Joan Jett and it didn't surprise me. The vocals reminded me of hers. But yes I ADORE this song and I ADORE Joan Jett in general, even if she has supposedly attempted to ruin Queen Lita's career. 491. Lita Ford – Dedication (1990)Of course what better way to kick off this list than with an album track from THE QUEEN'S BEST ALBUM EVER! I remember when I listened to Stiletto for the first time, this was immediately one of the standouts. She sounds really sexy on this too.

LOL @ "Gin & Juice" and "No Diggity" being on here. ;D That's pretty funny. That Madonna song is pretty good, but far from her best. And as for Fastball, they released a comeback album a couple of years ago but jusging by the lead single it wasn't very good. It sounded like a watered-down Sister Hazel.

 490. Slayer – Seasons In The Abyss (1991)SLAAAAAAAAAAYER! \m/ This is probably as heavy as it gets on this list. “Raining Blood” came very close to making the list but it barely missed out. Love this song, my favorite from them. 489. Hole – Softer, Softest (1994)One of my favorite tracks from the classic Live Through This album. My favorite part is around the end when Queen Courtney goes, “Burn the witch, just bring me back her HEAAAAAD!!11” This amazing band has eight more songs on the list. 488. Alanis Morissette – Right Through You (1995)The first of 20 appearances from Alanis on the list! While not one of my favorite songs from the best album ever, Jagged Little Pill, this song was still amazing enough t rank as my 488th favorite song ever. 487. Pat Benatar – Precious Time (1981)Queen Pat’s first appearance! This song is fierce just like her, and we all know she pulls off the short hair and headband look way better than Olivia Newton-John in the video. This legend has 17 more songs left. 486. Toni Braxton – Un-Break My Heart (1996)Toni Braxton is one of those artists who I have been a fan of since I was a kid. Unfortunately this is her only appearance on the list although “You’re Makin’ Me High” and “Just Be A Man About It” both came close. I have always been a huge fan of this one, her vocals are amazing on this song and it deserved to be the #1 SMASH that it was. I didn’t find out until recently that this was originally offered to Celine Dion and “Because You Loved Me” was offered to Toni. I think both songs would still be good if it was switched around but I prefer the way things turned out. 485. Next – Too Close (1998)BEST SONG ABOUT ERECTIONS EVER! In all seriousness I love this song and it’s a 90’s classic, even if it is as filthy as it is. 484. Monica – For You I Will (1997)First of all, any movie that has Michael Jordan playing basketball with Bugs Bunny is easily a winner in my book. Second of all, this is only one of the best R&B ballads EVER. Always loved this one. Monica has three more songs still to come. 483. TLC – Unpretty (1999)This is TLC’s first of four appearances on the list. Honestly, I wanted to rank this song soooo much higher since I can really relate to this song’s lyrics, but that’s what happens when there are so many awesome songs out there. This is an amazing song and I’m glad that TLC released a song like this because the lyrics to this song is something that SO many girls could relate to. I wish other artists would have the balls to record a song like this. This is probably my favorite part of the song: I wish I could tie you up in my shoes Make you feel unpretty too I was told I was beautiful But what does that mean to you Look into the mirror who's inside there The one with the long hair Same old me again today (yeah) 482. DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince – Summertime (1991)Great, fun summer track. Will Smith could do no wrong musically… well except for Willow. 481. Notorious B.I.G. – Juicy (1994)What can I say? Like “No Diggity”, I don’t think I know ANYONE who hates this song. One of the best rap songs ever, although he has two other songs still to come.

 480. Lita Ford – Only Women Bleed (1990)HOT ALICE COOPER REMAKE! Actually, it is. Although I am a fan of both the Alice Cooper original and Tori Amos’s 2001 remake, both versions missed the list. This was one of the songs that made me begin to get into Queen Lita. I know I’ve told this story before on here and I don’t want to go all Eddie Trunk on you guys and repeat stories, so I’m going to keep it short and sweet. I found out that Lita was in The Runaways with Joan Jett back in the 70’s and it made me curious to check out more music from her. I went on Limewire and downloaded a few of her songs, and this was one of them and I immediately loved this. I also downloaded the album tracks “Cherry Red” and “Black Widow”, as well as two of her singles, “Dressed To Kill” and “Shot Of Poison”. All of those except “Black Widow” are still to come, as this legend has 18 more songs still to come on the list. 479. The Cranberries – Linger (1993)First appearance from one of my all-time favorite bands! Although this and “Dreams” (which actually missed the list) were their biggest pop hits, they’re actually two of my least favorite songs from them. I love this song don’t get me wrong, but I much prefer their rockier tracks such as “Promises”, “Salvation”, and of course their best song ever, “Zombie”. This is a great track though, Dolores O’Riordan is one of my all-time favorite vocalists. They have six more songs still to come. 478. Brandy & Monica – The Boy Is Mine (1998)JAM! Although I did feel like it got a little overplayed during the time it was out, I still love this song to this day. I really liked the video for this as well. I wonder which one ended up getting the boy. 477. Brandy – Have You Ever? (1998)Her highest appearance on the list! I loved Brandy ever since I was a kid, I even had two of her Barbie dolls. I always thought this was an amazing ballad. It sucks that although this went to #1, you don’t really hear it that much anymore. 476. Alanis Morissette – Hand In My Pocket (1995)I absolutely LOVE this song, and this is one of my least favorite tracks on JLP. That just goes to show what an amazing album it is. 475. Red Hot Chili Peppers – Scar Tissue (1999)Excellent song, my favorite from them. 474. Heart – Who Will You Run To (1987)Another one of my favorite band’s first appearance! Their first of 18 appearances. In the mid-80’s we saw Heart go for a more pop/commercial sound, however, this was one of the songs during that era that still had that rock edge they had back in the 70’s. Honestly, if I made a list of my all-time favorite vocalists, Ann Wilson would probably be #2. #1 would be the next artist at #473… 473. Pat Benatar – Fire And Ice (1981)MORE FIERCENESS FROM THE FIERCE QUEEN THAT IS PAT BENATAR! Like many of her other songs that are still to come, this song really shows that YOU DO NOT WANT TO f**k WITH THIS WOMAN. Let’s look at some lyrics, shall we? So you think you got it all figured out You're an expert in the field, without a doubt But I know your methods inside and out And I won't be taken in by fire and iceDON’T f**k WITH PAT BENATAR! 472. Blessid Union Of Souls – I Believe (1995)ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL SONG RIGHT HERE. Love love love this song. 471. Phil Collins & Philip Bailey – Easy Lover (1985)Another JAM! I remember when I was a kid living in Long Island, and this song would be played on WALK 97.5, which was the local Hot AC station there, I knew it was a Phil Collins song but whenever I heard Philip Bailey’s vocals, I wasn’t sure if I was hearing a guest male vocalist, a guest female vocalist, or Phil Collins doing a falsetto voice. It wasn’t until about 2005 when I found out it was Philip Bailey from Earth, Wind, & Fire doing those vocals. But anyway, I looove this song and this is my second favorite from Phil, meaning he has one more song still to come.
