Not a bad choice really. I've never been the biggest fan of Migrate and those kind of songs don't work for 4th singles anyway. ISIL is also good in being a nice blend of pop and R&B to suit both markets. Something like Bye Bye had the melody, but the production was way too ghetto.

Why don't they just end the era already?
All of this "song A is a single, now it's song B, now nothing, now song C" is getting quite tiring.

Not the best choice, not the worst. I'm neutral.

Nick directing the video seems kinds of contrary to the message of the song I think

Mariah ruined her chances with this album for NOT releasing 'For The Record' as the 2nd single.

She runied her chances by NOT releasing Migrate and the Side Effects as the second and third singles. Both, with a hot video would have been pure awesome.

Well, I think you could say this album isn't so good if no one can agree on what should have been the 2nd single. It seems like everyone has a different idea on what would have "saved" her.

But thats the beauty of a Mariah CD, there is such a wide variety of what really could have saved the CD.
Migrate was the obvious song, and IMO Side Effects, For The Record, & Cruise Control could've also picked this era back up, as those were the more rhythmic singles that any 4 formats would've supported.

Mariah ruined her chances on this record by singing on it.

um "Some Hearts" did very well on AC.
and after "Some Hearts", "Before He Cheats" did really well on all genres. so do not call her a flop on Pop.

One crossover hit compared to Taylor's 3 That's sad considering Carrie > Carrie

Carrie would have cross-over success if she pushed for it, but she chooses not to. and Taylor has only had 2 cross-over hits.

Actually I think Picture to Burn didnt even make the top 50 on Pop, I recall cause both PTB and Last Name were struggling to make it on pop.
