Nice album cover. I'd expect a "Nobody's Home" type single to go along with it - but with a title like "What The Hell" I doubt that is the case.

What The Hell is produced/written by Max Martin and Shellback along with Avril so the sound should be pretty similar to Katy's and P!nk's new material  . |

There's a song on this album called " Darlin' " that she wrote when she was 15 years old, before she was even signed to a record label. She said that she's always loved the song but never recorded it until now.

omg it leaked?  ? gah i hate that. I'll only listen to parts of the songs and only if i dont have to download it. I'm super stoked for this album. --------------------------------------------------------------------- *EDIT* just listened to the snippets. wow, im disappointed. I knew this album was gonna be more slow and rock-ish but I was hoping it would still contain greatness like My December. |

Avril finds the right balance of good production, good songwriting mixed in with a few radio singles. My December has some decent tracks but half of the album is disposable while I tend to enjoy 85 % of Goodbye Lullaby. |

I don't think it would've gone any further than top 40 on pop and top 20 on hot ac. The album just seemed like an angry mess. She really needed a more positive outlook and that was the reason for the record's poor performance. This is Avril's thread so lets continue discussing her. I'm impressed that she wrote the following on her own: Stop Standing There 4 Real Darlin Remember When Goodbye Alice (extended version) 4 Real, Goodbye and Darlin are among my favourites . |
