The X Factor Magazine confirmed Cheryls next single as ‘The Flood’.
The single after Promise this will be an enormo-ballad called ‘the flood’, a massive, string laden, christmassy tear jerker about “wreckage” and “drowning” and “natural disaster love”. Be prepared to shed a tear or 3, as cheryl sadly croons, “you cant hold onto water”.

I have a fear that we'll get a really powerful song....that will be ruined with fake claps

If we do, BLAME RYAN TEDDER.

If he ruins it, we can always get Ingrid Michaelson to cover it

I hate you, I really do.
The dissonance in our relationship will be marked with you siding with Ingrids inferior cover. We will forever be damaged and I don't know if this relationship can ever be repaired.

in the end, when the flood hits, you can't hold onto water

So another unhealthy and poorly fleshed out reinvention of Bleeding Love basically?

This is nothing like anything Ryan Tedder has done before.
This is seriously gorgeous. The 1:00 clip that leaked is amazing. I am DYING for the full thing right now. November 1st needs to get here now.
The chorus is beautiful.

I had a dream last night that the video is of Cheryl performing on a cliff top and she jumps off the cliff at the end

ive had this on repeat for 6 hours straight.
Everything about this makes it instantly better than ANYTHING on radio now. Lyrically, production wise and Cheryls vocals make this one of THE best ballads in recent memory, if not THE best ballad ever.
I don't give two fucks what anyone else thinks either.

It's okay, but it just didn't make me think "epic Ryan Tedder ballad" like the other songs it was described as being like. I guess the best part is when the melody rises in the chorus.

This isn't even good enough to be a spin off child of BL like Halo, Battlefield, and Already Gone were. This is Bleeding Love's abortion.

Oh wow, harsh LOL And everyone is using abortion a lot on the board these days. It's the new trend
