and liking "album cuts" doesn't necessarily make you a "real" fan.
most often the singles are singles because they are the artists' best songs.

and Yes, Brian I know that, but still, a real fan would typically have at least one favorite album cut. I noticed in your John Mayer and I think Mb20 you had album cuts present.

It is very rare that an artists single represent their best work. Everyone always has that favorite song or two that was never released.
