I just heard this for the first time, and I thought that it was pretty good! It's inside the top 10:
11 10 EASTON CORBIN Little More Country ... Mercury 3666 3560 106
What do you think about it, peeps?

This isn't bad. Its not anything memorable, imo, but its decent. (which means its one of the best on the country chart right now)
This is the free download of the week on iTunes this week

^So does that mean this guy is a new artist? I thought free downloads were usually new artists (and I've never heard of this guy until now).
I agree that it's not memorable.

This is too country for DJ.
For someone who considers country music Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Lady Antebellum, Taylor Swift, aka Pop Country... you would not like this most likely. You can always try it though. Its free on iTunes now.

Most of Reba's stuff is not this country (Consider Me Gone was extremely Pop Country). And Darius is definitely Pop Country.

^That doesn't mean they're not pop-county though. Pop-country doesn't deal with radio formats, it's just a subgenre of country music. This song is....a little more country than that.

I know what it means. But if they were really pop enough, they could crossover. Its not like country crossing over is so outrageous lately..more and more is crossing over

Pop isn't a radio format. A song has to do more than just "be poppy" to become a hit.

A lot of pop-country artists could crossover with some of their songs, but most of them never get sent to any other format than country.
