Kesha is ruining everyone's dreams of #1. But then again, it would be a little weird if this went #1 and You Belong To Me got stuck at #2

LOL @ Taylor acting like T.Swift is hot S**t cause she broke one of Britneys dozens of records. #SITYOASSDOWN U mad huh? It's no different than Britney STANS flipping the fluck out when she broke the same record. lol Congrats Taylor! * Also, I don't see Britney breaking the record with her next single; her comeback came and went with this last era (which boosted momentum/sales) and I vuurry much doubt her next single will be as strong as Womanizer. As far as this song is concerned, I think it's great. I think people are taking it wayyy to seriously though. It's a song from a movie about Valentines day. We shouldn't be expecting profound, deep lyrics. I think this is easily one of her catchiest songs.

Britney always pulls off crazy first week digital #'s

She f**ked her era up.
Sometimes it is so strange how labels act. I should run her album, because she could have easily released another few singles from the regular edition of Fearless and then re-release singles.

well, what all is said and done she could have had a shania era and you shouldn't be saying anything. you just want to try and fit it on PMB

You don't think she'll break it again? "3" sold over 256K in it's first week. Britney always pulls off crazy first week digital #'s I definitely think she'll pull huge numbers, possibly close to 300k, but I just don't see her doing more than 325k. With Womanizer she had a ton of buzz and the "comeback" angle which bolstered sales. 3 (greatest hits single or not) opened with lower numbers despite being really catchy. I'm hoping Britney brings it with the next era (*crosses fingers for Blackout-themed material*) but I just don't see a record-breaking first single (in terms of its digital debut).

About Fearless: I agree with Taylor that 5x Platinum is nothing to sneeze at, but I also agree with DJ, in that it would have been cool to have a tighter Shania like schedule with singles after singles. and maybe shoot for like Diamond at least. But that would just be greedy wishes About Britney: I don't see a record breaking single either unless they can find a new angle to work off. She just had her comeback, so what what would the next step represent?

"Fifteen" really screwed up her momentum IMO. If she had released "Fearless" instead of "Fifteen", then it would have been a much bigger hit on Country and Pop. Then she could be releasing "Forever & Always" to country now and have it coming up on Pop in the next month. Then close out the album with "You're Not Sorry" and it would have been the perfect era and i guarantee she would have had 3 more top 5 hits on pop and country. "Fifteen" just was a mess.
