I'm disappointed. I haven't listened to every track full, cause most of them are really boring and they don't have the instant hook that Americano, bloody mary, edge of glory and born this way has. Bad kids, government hooker and highway Unicorn are the worst on the album imo. Some songs are a bit annoying but I hope some songs can grow on me, but from all these songs I can only see Americano becoming a hit.
Stand Outs :
Born This Way Americano Judas Bloody Mary Edge Of Glory
Worst tracks on the album :
Government Hooker Bad Kids Highway Unicorn
Single Choice should have been : 1. Born This Way 2. Americano 3. Judas 4. Edge Of Glory
I don't see this getting more the four singles. Americano is gaga's only chance for another #1 on pop this era.

^ This is one of those moment where I'll like: "Okay I know you're album is a disappointment, but I'll buy it anyway because I respect you a lot, and you deserved good sales."

Marry the night would not do well imo. Hair might, but Americano has the most potential becoming a hit.

She's getting some heat for apparently giving her album away for free when you purchase a smart phone from Best Buy this week.

^I loved her skit with madonna from last time. I'll need to YouTube last nights. She's getting some heat for apparently giving her album away for free when you purchase a smart phone from Best Buy this week. Will the album count towards sales or is this just like a promotional tool?

I haven't finished listening to the entire album yet, but I can make a few assumptions. I enjoy most of the tracks. Many tracks remind me cuts off of a Scissor Sisters album; very high energy, sexy, and weird. Gaga said herself that this album was going to weed out all of the "fake monsters". She's not worried about songs being cookie cutter and having great hooks. To me, it's her best album in terms of production (not to be confused with "catchiness"). All tracks are fluid and don't copy and paste song sections, and I love that. That's all thanks to Garibay. Ever since I heard Dance In The Dark, I loved his production style and I'm glad Gaga stuck with him. This album may not get her the radio hits casual listeners want to hear, but I think it deserves to be her most acclaimed album yet.

GAGA'S AMAZING AMAZON SALE: Today’s unprecedented sale of the new Lady Gaga album, Born This Way, for 99 cents at Amazon has the disc threatening the digital download record of 288k set by Coldplay’s Viva la Vida. Label chief Steve Berman's thorough campaign has the record blowing out everywhere, with first-week sales estimates ranging from 750k to a high of a million. Meanwhile, iTunes, selling the regular version at $11.99 and $15.99 for the deluxe, had already threatened to pull down its splash page advertising for the album if it appeared on any other competing digital site, particularly its chief rival, though so far, the disc is still being promoted by Apple. Insiders are applauding Amazon for the loss-leader move, which is seen as a way of promoting its new cloud service. Will Soundscan count the 99-cent downloads in its total for Gaga? (5/23p)
750k - 1 million

I don't think it will be fair if soundscan counted the ones on amazon. This is cleary desperation of selling a million albums.

I don't think it will be fair if soundscan counted the ones on amazon. This is cleary desperation of selling a million albums. Amazon owns a very small portion of the market. They sold T Swift's Speak Now for an amazing deal and I think it only sold around 10,000.

AMAZON DAILY DEAL HAS GAGA SKYROCKETING Born This Way Looking Like the Biggest Debut in Ages…but Just How Big…? May 24, 2011 Did Amazon MP3’s unexpected and unprecedented sale of Lady Gaga’s Born This Way for 99 cents cause the release to break the digital download record of 288k set by Coldplay’s Viva la Vida in 2008? We don’t know—at least not yet. Not surprisingly, Amazon.com was snowed under with orders for their excusive, knocking all their servers down for a chunk of time, and causing the company to issue an apology while also assuring all those who ordered a digital copy that they’d get one. Insiders are applauding Amazon for the loss-leader move, which is seen as a way of promoting its new cloud service. Will SoundScan count the 99-cent downloads in its total for Gaga? The online retail giant has yet to reveal the total number of downloads it sold Monday in its highest-profile Daily Deal ever, not even to the Wall Street Journal’s Ethan Smith. But Smith and co-writer John Kell turned to another form of measurement in their coverage this morning: the number of customer reviews posted. On Monday afternoon, when they checked the iTunes Store, which is selling the regular version at $11.99 and $15.99 for the deluxe, the reporters counted “nearly 13,000 reviews of the album's two different configurations… Amazon users, by contrast, had posted fewer than 300 reviews, split roughly equally between favorable and unfavorable. Most of the negative reviews focused on complaints about the inability to download all 14 songs.” Today, and presumably for the rest of the week, Amazon MP3 is selling Born This Way downloads for $6.99, still significantly undercutting iTunes.Interscope label chief Steve Berman's thorough campaign has the record blowing out everywhere, with first-week sales estimates ranging from 750k to a high of a million. Our latest guesstimate puts the number in the neighborhood of 900k. In other Gaga sales news, sources report that Walmart violated street date by selling the album over the weekend, with estimates of more than 10k moved, meaning the release could end up debuting on this week’s HITS Top 50 sales chart this afternoon. And Target, which was supposed to sell an exclusive version of Born This Way, won’t now because of the chain's apparent support of anti-gay marriage legislation. www.hitsdailydouble.com/news/newsPage.cgi?news08551m01

The Lady Gaga album, released by Interscope records, part of Vivendi SA's Universal Music Group, is expected to be among the year's best sellers. The two online stores combined sold about 250,000 to 350,000 copies of the album in its first 24 hours, according to early estimates from a person in the music industry. Only a handful of albums this year have sold more than that in an entire week. online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052702303654804576343750205837470.html#ixzz1NKG3txylThat's insane since it's only from Itunes and Amazon !!!

i'm actually enjoying the album as a whole. obviously there are some bizarre songs..that are not my favorite but there are a LOT of really strong songs. The Edge of Glory remains the true highlight of the album but other really strong songs in my opinion are Marry the Night(I LOVE the concept), Hair(which has grown on me a LOT), Highway Unicorn(reminds me of Poker Face 2.0) and You and I.
Americano..which seems to be everyone's favorite..is kinda meh to me. It sounds like a leftover from TFM.
