After listening to the album, the only song that I really don't like is Americano. I'm so glad that they didn't go with Marry the Night as the lead single , it's a decent track but it doesn't really give me lead single vibes. I prefer the Zedd Remix of it. Scheiße is by far the best song on the record though .

She was “Born” to sell downloads. With a massive rollout orchestrated by Interscope’s Steve Berman and manager Troy Carter, Lady Gaga’s Born This Way will debut at #1 next week with the year’s biggest sales total, between 900-950k. That would be the largest debut since Taylor Swift’s Speak Now scored 1.04 million last October.
In a watershed moment for the business, as much as 500k of that total will be digital, thanks in large part to Amazon’s price-busting 99 cent sale on Monday. Estimates are that Gaga’s album broke Coldplay’s previous one-week digital record of 288k on the first day, with an estimated 400k being sold across all digital formats in the first 24 hours. It’s clear the strategy of saturating non-traditional retail worked wonders.
Arista Nashville superstar Brad Paisley’s This Is Country Music, the 10th album since bursting onto the scene in 1999, is on target for an opening week of 145-155k.
Columbia’s Glee Cast Volume 6 will debut with between 80-85k, while Warner Bros.’ Maybach Music Group Presents: Self Made, Vol. 1, the Rick Ross-founded label previously with Def Jam, will do in the 50-55k range.
Columbia/Jive/Legacy’s NKOTBSB, the joining of New Kids and Backstreet Boys, should do 35-40k on the heels of their blockbuster tour.
Finally, Startime Intl./Columbia’s Foster the People, SoCal’s answer to MGMT, debut with Torches, which is in the 25-30k range, fueled by the alternative hit, “Pumped Up Kicks.”
The market was down 5% vs. last week, up 2% vs. same week last year and still down 1% year to date, with Gaga ensuring the business will climb into the black for the first time in memory. Can upcoming releases like Beyonce, Lady Antebellum, Lil Wayne, Jackie Evancho and the elusive Dr. Dre help sustain the momentum when the biz goes up against last year’s first weeks from Drake and Eminem?
This looks like a deja vu of Speak Now: Taylor predictions by HITS: Mon: 650-700k Tue: 800-900k Wed: 900k-1000k Thu: 975-1000k Actual: 1040k

Billboard:
Will Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way' Sell 1 Million In Its First Week?
May 25, 2011 By Keith Caulfield, Los Angeles
One thing is nearly certain: we're going to have a new No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart next week -- and it will be Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" with perhaps 1 million sold in its first week.
Industry prognosticators suggest the set, the diva's third, could flirt with the 1 million threshold by week's end on May 29.
If "Born This Way" hits the magic 1 million mark, it will be the 17th album to sell 1 million copies in one week, and the first to do so since Taylor Swift's "Speak Now" debuted at No. 1 on the chart dated Nov. 13, 2010 with 1.05 million.
No stone was left unturned by the folks at Gaga's label and distribution company (Interscope and Universal Music Group, respectively) when it came to finding opportunities to promote the album and to sell it in unconventional ways and locations. "Born this Way" is stocked everywhere from Starbucks and CVS Pharmacies to Whole Foods and Walgreens.
The one unconventional promotion that Gaga's record company wasn't affiliated with was Amazon MP3's amazingly low 99-cent, one-day discount on the set on May 23. Sources indicate that the stunt may have brought in more than 300,000 downloads of the album alone.
Considering it was only two weeks ago when industry folks were projecting that "Born this Way" was "only" going to sell around 500,000, having it approach 1 million (even with Amazon MP3's 99-cent stunt sales goosing the first week) is mighty impressive.
With all this talk about Gaga, you've got to feel a little bad for country superstar Brad Paisley, whose "This Is Country Music" album will likely debut in the runner-up slot next week with maybe 150,000 copies sold. Paisley has yet to earn a No. 1 album -- after six top 10's (two of which hit No. 2). Had his new album come a week earlier, perhaps he could have secured his first No. 1.
Other albums aiming for a top 10 arrival next week include "Glee, the Music: Season Two: Volume 6" (with perhaps an 80,000 start), the various artists compilation "Maybach Music Group Presents: Self Made, Vol. 1" (around 50,000) and the New Kids On the Block/Backstreet Boys collaboration/greatest hits album "NKOTBSB" with maybe 35,000.

Its 99 cents on Amazon MP3 again. There's rumors the deluxe will drop down to $3.99 on Amazon MP3 Friday.

Universal Music now has the last four million selling debuts as Lady Gaga joins Taylor Swift, Lil Wayne and 50 Cent in a very rare category these days. Here's how it looks headed into the weekend:
*Lady Gaga (Interscope) 1m+ *Brad Paisley (Arista Nashville) 145-155k Adele (XL/Columbia) 125-135k *Glee Cast Vol. 6 (Columbia) 75-80k Now 38 (Capitol/EMI) 45-50k *Maybach Music Group Presents: Self Made, Vol. 1 (Maybach/WB) 45-50k *NKOTBSB (Columbia/Jive/Legacy) 35-40k *Journey (Nomota) 25-30k (Wal-Mart exclusive) *Foster The People (Startime/Columbia) 25-30k Mumford & Sons (Glassnote) 24-27k Seether (Wind-up) 21-24k Beastie Boys (Capitol/EMI) 18-21k Lady Gaga The Fame (Interscope) 18-21k Lemonade Mouth (Walt Disney) 18-21k Fleet Foxes (Sub Pop) 18-21k
*Debuts (5/26p)

99 cents album should be the future of music..I would probably buy a lot more music..
Anyway I'm glad the predictions are being upped from 900k to 1 million..I really think she can do it

99 cents will get you big album sales, but the label and gaga are definitely going to get paid less. Cause the writers/producers of the album still needs to get paid by a curtain percantage of the total album sale.

Yes, but a lower price will mean much more volume! 99 cents is extreme..but they need to find a price that will maximize volume at the lowest price

Amazon is losing money but what they're gaining is more traffic on their site which is good for promoting their services.

In the future, I see a lot of artists getting even more involved with their music from composing to mixing to reduce the costs.. so that they will get paid more in terms of royalties.

GaGa co-wrote and co-produced every song on the album including one solo write with You and I. She'll definetely get a nice cut of the profit.

Especially now that sales are gearing towards digital, there is less demand for publishers, printers, packaging. All is needed is one usb flash with an album in it. Promotion is a different aspect, but you get what I'm saying by means of the actual effort that is put into making the music itself.

No, more like .75 cents on most artists... Mariah, MJ are the only few people who earns 1 dollars and above.

That's terrible !! Is there a list out there how much writers/producers get ?
So you are telling me... Of the 20 millions albums Kelly sold, she hasn't earned 2 million from it ?

pretty much... but she earns royalties from her songwriting skills.. when her songs gets played on the radio... etc usually, artists earn the most money from touring.

She will likely end up selling 1.1-1.3 million first week. She sold 524k first day. Final projection estimates have her selling around 1.2 million.
She will end up selling around 500k just from Amazon alone. Crazy.

I'll never understand why people don't shop around with Mp3 albums. iTunes is very convenient and good prices sometimes, but Amazon usually outrates them A LOT in terms of good prices. The album is $11.99/$15.99 on iTunes, yet you can get it for $6.99/$12.99 on amazon, and for those 2 days this week, only 99 cents. I'm surprised more people dont look into Amazon because for the most part they are way cheaper.
