No. Someone that just came into the scene a little bit over a year ago is FAR from a legend.
What bothers me about Gaga is that people act as if she is some revolutionary when she clearly isn't. All of her looks have been done, her sound isn't anything new, her voice is generic, her videos aren't creative. People need to wake up and see her for what she is: a tranny looking hag that makes fun songs and isn't afraid to wear crazy outfits. That is it, my friends.

Maybe people like the fact that she's pretentious, isn't afraid to say things, wears REALLY outrageous clothes...she is soo different from what's out there, today. It IS refreshin. BC we can dissect every mainstream artist to the bone and I bet we'd find many things "average" or things they are "copying". I'd like to right now but I'm not gonna open a can of worms.

bringing up album sales is kinda a low blow bc Lady Gaga hasn't even been out for a year yet. And everyone knows how different album sales are today than they were 10 years ago. I mean DJ's statements are outrageous but this whole argument is a lost cause honestly....whether or not Gaga is a "legend", who copied who, etc. The FACT is that Lady Gaga is doing phenominally well right now and all this arguing is doing nothing but fueling a fire.

Exactly! 1998: Cher - "Believe" 2004: Britney - "Toxic" 2005: Madonna - "Hung Up" 2007/2008: Rihanna - "Don't Stop The Music" 2009: Britney - "Radar" So obviously her sound isn't that fresh at all. The past 11 years i just thought of 5 songs on the top of my head that are dance/techno and were all big hits (except radar  ) |
