Beautiful U Are is being released digitally to Amazon.com on 16 September 2008. No idea on an adds date or what formats. Shes gone back to her R&B roots and I think this is a hit waiting to happen! Anyone else hear it?This is supposedly the second single from "The Promise" [November 2008], the first single was Did You Ever Love Me which was supposed to impact radio on August 26, 2008, no idea how that went.

Nobody? This song is good, Im sure lots of you will like it! Shes been compared to Whitney, she did the song Nobodys Supposed To Be Here which had the longest run on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart (14 weeks), until Mary Js Be Without You. The song was also a huge club hit, especially gay clubs!

I really liked Nobody's Supposed To Be Here (especially that slow to fast remix) and Same Script Different Cast. But since she went full time dance, I've lost track of her. I'll check this out though

Yeah, me too! Im really glad she returned to her roots! She wanted to and so did her fans so she thought it was about time. The quality on YT might not be the greatest cause the mp3 I have is really low quality but I couldnt find anything else. . . Yes, Ill purchase it, only cause I want a good copy

Hmm....not really feeling this song, but I'd be interested in hearing what she has to offer on the new album. I wonder if she's on a major label or not. She somehow got a major label for her jazz album, but I'm not sure if it'll translate or if it was just for one album

Its blowin up on my local stations! I think its gona do well, in Canada anyway, its a nice song thats relates to a lot of people, the whole self esteem, staying strong theme! Yeah, she did the jazz or big band thing last album but I think shes moved on. She was with J Records - Arista but I think shes with Deco Recording now. Arista (1995–2000) J (2000–2003) Decca (2007) Nervous/Deco (2008–present)

Deborah Cox's new studio album 'The Promise' will be released in November. It will be her first studio album in six years. The album will be released via Deco Recording Group/Image Entertainment. The Big Jim Wright-produced first single, 'Did You Ever Love Me?,' is said to be a poignant, soulful slow-burning R&B song which reflects on a relationship that has just ended. The song which impacts radio in August will be available for sale at iTunes and other digital retailers on August 26th. The song can be previewed now at www.deborahcox.com and www.myspace.com/deborahcox. T he new album features production by an all-star team of collaborators, including John Legend, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Big Jim Wright, Shep Crawford, Devo Springsteen and the Avila Brothers. Here's what Deborah said about the forthcoming project: "The R&B fans were the first to embrace me and help me get to where I am today," says Deborah. "I have been fortunate enough to be able to explore other genres of music, but I really missed doing R&B and thought it was time to return to it."
Some of the tracks to be featured on the album include, "All Over Me" ("It's a very sexy song. I think it will surprise people because it explores a level of sensuality that I've never expressed in a song before," Cox says); "Beautiful U R," a mid-tempo uplifting track discussing self-love and acceptance; and "The Promise," a beautiful, simple ballad describing where Deborah is today in her life ("It's all about commitment to myself, my family, friends and those who have supported and been there for me," she says).

Oh interesting, she got the whole Flyte Time crew working with her. Now that Janet basically disowned them, I wonder if they'll give Deborah some stuff in her vein
