MartianLeaks Mister Martian Good News: Britney will premier a new version of #tillthewordends tomorrow morning and it will be officially released on iTunes! I see that her team is doing what GaGa did . I have a feeling that she'll debut @ #2 or 3 .

I hope that's not true. That's a horrible idea to have it released on a weekend with only 3 days of sales. I don't have a problem with them releasing it to radio early. But they should have waited until Monday to release this digitally.

I'm iffy on it.
I hate that it sounds like "We R Who We R" + "Blow", and I agree with Monrow, it does sound a bit like "We Own The Night" by Jessie & The Toy Boys.
The "Woah oh oh oh's" are kind of repetitive and annoying to be honest.
However, the main chorus sections are so MASSIVE and addictive.
HIAM > TTWE though.
This is indeed a grower for me.

This certainly is a grower. I think the biggest thing for me that stops this from being a mammoth single is that something makes it seem like it's on auto-pilot. That quality about the song, makes it seem as a single that is purely being sent out for hype purposes, more so than as a distinct single, sent out of it's own regard. This very well could be what it is, a last minute saving grace because 'Against Me' peaked too quickly so they need to stem from their losses.
I don't know if it's necessarily Britney, or if it's the production that lends it that kind of quality of being not fully there, but the level of hesitancy in this song is what holds it back from being the hard puncher it may need to be to really ignite the charts, and hold her afloat till the album drops.
That being said this is very dance floor ready, even more so then Hold It Against Me, was I think. At the same time one of the things that I like about it is that it is noticeably quieter than the typical Luke productions, he usually creates. This quietness at the beginning helps create an atmosphere that I think works well for Britney's delivery in the song. I like that it isn't overproduced. I'll say that again. I LIKE that this isn't overproduced typical Dr. Luke fanfare.
It's sparse compared to a lot of dance tracks, and I think that level of restraint only helps the track, and makes it standout. Rather than doing the typical throw everything at the ceiling till something sticks, production a lot of producers are doing now. It's a lot like Circus in that respect. A dance track that thrives off of sparse beats, minor synths, and a vocal performance.
While it's not as authoritative as Circus, it still works as an egocentric, even boastful delivery, commentary that is enough to carry the song. Though it may lack the typical trills, bells, and collective whistles it still is strong. In a way this song is Britney left without her typical vices to lead her through the song, it's her at the forefront, even if mildly vocally enhanced.
There are obvious comparisons musically to We R Who We R (not seeing 'Blow' just because there are Oh's in it doesn't make the two songs similar), straight down to the break in the middle of the song, where the beat drowns out, and comes back to the chorus refrain. You can also tell the Ke$htastic barbs she throws in there to catch the listeners attention, which is a nod to that song too. It works well as a continuation to that song, just in a more understated way. That being said I don't think Ke$ha would have worked well for this song in it's original incarnation. She would need much more backing her if this was her typical track, and if this were released from her new album she would just generally need more I think, because she doesn't have the same gravitas Britney has.
That being said it doesn't stop this track from sounding like someone took Ke$ha, Robyn, and Britney into a blender and pureed them into this song. There are a few scarce Britneyisms here for it to qualify as her track, but her delivery seems very Robynish here which helps because this track easily could have depreciated into an act of ventriloquism by Ke$ha.
All in all, this is really good, it's a grower, and there are moments here that are strongly stratospheric that give it a weight that has the potential to be anathematic. Specifically the "see the sunlight, we ain't stoppin', if you feel it, let it happen" portions. Britney hasn't had an anthem in a while. I will say I like that Britney went here musically, even just for experimental purposes for trying something she typically wouldn't have done. I think she needs to explore more and step out of her typical comfort zones in an effort to find more of herself, and her sound rather than doing things she has already done.
Sidenotes: This song deserves a huge video, thinking of an image of a stadium full of people, with Britney leading the charge. There is no way she is singing these songs live if she has any kind of choreography to them, she could have gotten away with partly singing Circus and Womanizer because both of those songs are slower, and the vocal range is lower. These songs sound too high for her to sing comfortably with choreography.

this was instant for me. don't see "Blow" references. it has a repeated "oohh ohh ohhh" but thats the only blow similarity I see. I didn't think it was possible for me to love something more than HIAM but I may just like this even better

^ Yeah. I doubt it's going to change too much though. Maybe an extended dance break/breakdown part or some minor vocal alterations to the background, etc. I'm surprise she's actually visiting Ryan though, I figured she would just call in, or have someone from her team handle it. She's probably going to do an interview with him, maybe announce something. Hopefully something regarding promo. The album is due in a little over three weeks. Edit: Supposedly Jordan got a 7 second clip of what the real version sounds like. Her voice is auto-tuned to hell and she sounds like a wind-up doll, they added claps, and I am pretty sure there is another underlying beat that has just been added to the song. So much for this being under produced.

Hold It Against Me is far superior. This is just okay and the fact that it reminds me of my the only Ke$ha single that I hate (We R Who We R) is a bit of a turn off. I have a feeling that it'll debut @ #3 on the hot 100 (similarly to Circus).

lol. I liked We R Who We R, but despite the subtle differences, I don't think the two are that similar. WRWWR is a lot more aggressive, TTWE isn't really like that, well at least not the version we have now. It could end up sounding obnoxious though if that 7 second snippet is any indication. I think this version though is a lot calmer, and easier to swallow. I don't think disliking WRWWR would greatly affect the way one would view 'Ends' though.

I really wanted Inside Out to be the second single. That song sounds like a SMASH waiting to happen. I want something different from her and this just wasn't the single to win me over. This might be my least favourite era single wise .

I know what you mean. I don't think the material is weak, just relatively safe. In terms of singles I thought the Britney era had some weak singles (INAG, Overprotected). But I do think there is a level of excitement that isn't there with these singles it seems like they just want radio hits.

Overprotected (Darkchild Remix) 4. Cinderella 5. Boys

Okay this really is overrated. But at this point i understand why the Britney fans are overhyping it because they are really trying to make her next "Toxic" happen, just like they were with "Hold It Against Me," so they'll stay in denial for as long as possible.
But to be honest with you, "Hold It Against Me" is much more solid than this one. In fact i even thought "Hold It Against Me" was better than "Born This Way" and every Britney single since "Gimme More,". The problem with this song is that the verses are too bland, and the chorus sounds too familiar (if you call that a chorus), the Bridge and the outro however are sick. I wish the entire song was in that vein really.
Hold It Against Me: A- Til The World Ends: B- (lame title too)
This will not be her new "Toxic"...it's nowhere near as addicting and original as that was when it came out.

Oh and this won't debut at #1 on the Hot 100. Any Britney fan that thinks so is really in denial. Just like how they convinced themselves that Gaga would never be able to beat "Hold It Against Me" sales and airplay record in the 1st week because Britney always has "more hype," yet Gaga came along and shattered every record imaginable in just one day!

Can Jake, Mark or someone American PLZ gift me a copy. I already bought a copy on the Canadian store but I just want to help her Hot 100 position.

I don't think anyone is concerned about 'Toxic' at this point, fans have moved beyond that. This isn't the pre-Blackout era where that was all fans had to latch on to for "new Britney music". Since then Britney has given strong work that has held it's own. No one is trying to recreate Toxic, and Britney has had her share of hits to keep people interested.
Britney had one of her biggest airplay hits with her last single. So there really is no need to over hype anything at this point, as fans have already recognized that Hold It was huge for her. I will also disagree that Hold It Against was better than every single she has released in the later half of her career, it's more middle of the pack than it is the 'best'. As to fans "trying to make it happen" with HIAM, again HIAM is her biggest airplay hit since Toxic (86 million AI), and in terms of chart position IS her biggest airplay hit overall. So what are you talking about?
I want to know where this is on iTunes, it won't go #1, considering it will only have three days of sales. Which is unfortunate given that I think she could have sold well and could have gotten a #1 had Jive played their cards better.
Figured out the vocal range in this is from an F3 to a C5, a little lower than Hold It Against Me's range of G3 to Eb5, but still pretty high.
