This has been #1 on Triple A for a while (and couldn't find a thread for it) and it's starting to break into Hot AC - it sounds a lot like Say Hey but it's got that summer thing goin on
Not sure if more Hot AC stations'll pick it up, or if they'll start dropping it at the end of the summer

I really liked "Say Hey", so I'll probably like this too.
And I really should have known about this. The market I live in doesn't have a Triple A station, so I'm always overlooking that chart.

It's not as immediate as Say Hey, but I think that's good. So this probably won't be as successful probably, but it's probably something that's not going to burn out on me as quickly.

Seems like this has been out forever, but it's finally hit Top 20 Hot AC...like that stations didn't drop this just cause the summer was over

I remember hearing this once, and thought it was pretty good. And yeah, sometimes songs get dropped really fast when the summer is over. I think that's what prevented "All Summer Long" from hitting #1 on Hot AC, but I'm not sure.

^Yeah you'd think stations wouldn't do that to ASL cause it's about looking back on the summer, but you're prob. right - also these guys must have the slowest climbing singles in the history of radio (I think Say Hey (I Love You) was released something like two years ago...it's like a complete year for each single to get going and then peak)

Good point, man. Everyone thought of ASL as a "summer song" even though it had those lyrics about "nothing seemed as strange as when the leaves began to change". That really fit in with September/October and the arrival of fall. But I guess the chorus really overshadowed that.
And I didn't get into "Say Hey" until around August of 2009 from what I remember. So I guess I was late on that one too? ;D
