Backstreet Boys.
"This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race" reminded me of the Backstreet Boys.

It is really good. I am preferring it to the whorendous original.

This song is slowly starting to grow on me, like most FOB songs. I usually start off hating them, and then somehow become obsessed with them.

The song went for adds in mid-September KP.
It is now early December. The song has pretty much run its course.

The album hasn't come out yet. By releasing a new single now, they'd just be setting it up to be a flop era already (i.e. 50 Cent's "Curtis", which had like 7 lead singles).

The 2nd single is supposed to be released a couple weeks in advance.
Curtis did not have 7 lead singles, nor did it have 7 total.
Straight To The Bank (street single) - January 2007 Amusement Park (first single) - May 2007 I Get Money - June 2007 Ayo Technology - August 2007 I'll Still Kill - November 2007
A video was also shot for "Lead The Way" but never officially released.

^Don't get smart with me, DJ. You know what I meant.
And yes, the 2nd single is often released before the album release. But that's only for bands that release their first major single, and then their next rock and pop singles sperately (ala Nickelback and 3 Doors Down).
I don't see The Fray releasing single #2 in January.
