Alternative was very similar to the active rock chart about 3 years ago, but that's all changing now.
I agree that the format is changing in some way.

At this rate, folks like Kevin Rudolf and Jason Mraz will be charting at alternative. It'll be 1998 all over again!

Katy Perry charted on Alternative? Yeah, she did. She peaked at like #25 or something I think DJ is just shocked by that, because they're younger and more ignorant and don't know how the chart has changed over time. And just think that's what considered rock by today's standard is how it was and always should be But I'm glad Zack is knowledgeable and knows the chart used to be more pop/rock friendly Rock was my main format before I enjoyed pop/rap etc. Don't tell me any s**t like I don't know anything about rock charts. I was listening to rock all the time when around the ages of 6-10. I also have the Rock book from that guy who does the charts that contains every song that ever charted on rock from the time it started until 2003. So hush your lipz. PWNED! and im gonna say tht all the time now

Well, I remember this time you claimed to be a hip-hop expert, but then acted all confused when I started talking about Bone Thugs N Harmony And if you really do have this book, you shouldn't act so shocked by us talking about how it used to be.

DJ, you know very well as I do that these "pop/rock" bands don't usually chart on Alternative anymore. They don't even go to #40.

Yeah that was my first thought, too. But that was only labeled on Alternative. I guess we'll know when it charts. 'Cause we know it will.
