All the talk about the Jonas Brothers made me curious about their album. But I guess we actually didn't have a thread on them. So here's one.

Any estimates yet on how people think it's going to sell? (Especially with that Lil Wayne-ish strategy)

Aug 8 2008 2:50 PM EDT Jonas Brothers Fever Hits New York At Group's 'Good Morning America' Appearance 'The Jonas Brothers are worth camping out for any day!' says one fan who braved a night on the street.
NEW YORK — Mothers, hide your daughters: Jonas Brothers mania has taken over New York City.
The trio of teen heartthrobs — Nick, Joe and Kevin — rocked a packed Bryant Park in Midtown Manhattan for their "Good Morning America" appearance Friday (August 8), wooing both daughters and mothers alike. One mom held a sign that read, "Make me a Jonas mother-in-law"!
The guys played a quick set containing several fan favorites — including "S.O.S." and their VMA-nominated hit "Burnin' Up" — and snippets of a couple other songs from their new LP, out Tuesday, A Little Bit Longer. (Hear the whole album on "The Leak"!) But truthfully, what they were playing was difficult to hear over the screams — and may well have been irrelevant to the near-hysterical (and very loud) crowd.
It was a scene straight out of Beatlemania: There were reports of several people fainting, although it was unclear whether that was due to the size of the crowd or the effect of the boys on that crowd.
One group of friends from Connecticut had worked on T-shirts for two days to demonstrate their devotion to the band; the shirts were filled with messages, lyrics and pictures of the guys. "We found pictures that we really loved on the computer and then we put them on the shirts and then we started designing them," Crystal, 12, told MTV News. "It was all worth it because we got to see the Jonas Brothers!"
Some teenage girls braved a rainy night on the street just to catch a glimpse of the boys, braving arguments between fans — and even vermin — while waiting to get into the park. New York-area native Naisa, 14, and Maryland native Paula, 13, told MTV News, "It was horrible! When we went to the train station there was rats. [Outside the park,] people were shoving each other. There were a lot of fights." Still, they thought the Jonas' appearance was nothing less than "awesome."
Katie, 17, from New Jersey, and her sisters traveled to the city a day in advance to get a spot in Bryant Park. "We wanted to get the best seats and we wanted to have fun camping out," she said. "Well, we go to hear their new songs too, which was amazing. The Jonas Brothers are worth camping out for any day!"
Still, we couldn't help but ask: Rats, rain, fights, a night on the streets of New York City? What is it about these guys that has girls traveling hundreds of miles and lining up two or three days in advance for this gig?
For some it's their tunes, for others it's their image. "They really put everything they can into their music and they really love their fans, so they deserve it," said Amber, 14, who'd traveled from Rhode Island on a bus by herself to catch the show. "They're great inspirations to kids. They're a very wholesome band and they put everything they can into it."
Cristina, 10, from Queens, New York, said she loves the boys because "they're hot. They're cute. They're very cool."
But for one girl, the answer is very simple — if slightly unexpected.
"Nick is the best. He has great eyebrows," one excited 16-year-old proclaimed. "Every guy should have great eyebrows."
Don't have Jonas fever yet? Well, then be sure to catch the guys when they're on "TRL" next week for "Jonas Brothers TRL Fan Week"!

Miley Cyrus finally admits she was dating Joe Jonas
Aug 7 2008 1:29 PM EDT Miley Cyrus Finally Admits That She And Nick Jonas Were Dating -- And That She 'Rebelled' After Breakup Singer says she dyed her hair black to reflect sadness over breakup.
Miley Cyrus has finally confirmed her long-rumored relationship with fellow Disney star Nick Jonas in an extensive interview in the forthcoming September issue of Seventeen magazine.
While neither had previously confirmed the relationship, it has long been the subject of media speculation — Cyrus said in the interview that "it was really hard to keep it from people."
"Nick and I loved each other," Cyrus told the magazine. "We still do, but we were in love with each other. For two years he was basically my 24/7. We were arguing a lot, and it really wasn't fun."
(Nick and the brothers held a press conference on Wednesday talking about their new single, the lyrics of which address Nick's diabetes.)
Miley admitted that things got dark for her after the two broke up at the end of 2007 — so dark that she even dyed her hair black to reflect how sad she was. "At first I bawled for a month straight," she said. "I was so sad. I just went into this weird funk. And I dyed my hair black.
"When we were dating, Nick wanted me to get highlights — and so I did that, and I got myself looking great," she continued. "And then, on the day we broke up, I was like, 'I want to make my hair black now — I don't want to look pretty; I want to look hard-core.' I was rebelling against everything Nick wanted me to be. And then I was like, 'I've got to be by myself for now and just figure out who I really am.' "
The brothers were quick to come to Miley's defense in the wake of her controversial Vanity Fair photos earlier this year.
The 15-year-old superstar said she currently isn't involved with anyone, and she likes it that way. "Since [the breakup], I've realized that I've met so many great guys, but I like being the girl nobody can have," she added. "No one can touch me, no one's mine. I'm myself. I think it's sexy to do your own thing."
Although Nick is rumored to have found love with "Wizards of Waverly Place" star Selena Gomez, Miley hasn't given up on the idea that maybe, someday, she and Nick might rekindle their love affair.
"Maybe he'll be my best friend for the rest of my life," she speculated, "or maybe I'll end up marrying Nick Jonas!"

Wasn't it awkward going to a concert that was (or so I would assume) 90%+ girls?

Oh, I see.
Well, I guess if you really like the artist it does not matter, because when Alexz Johnson comes around, I'm sure it will be mostly girls, but I don't give a f**k lol
