This is Tim's 6th single from the album of the same name. His last 2 singles completely flopped so I assumed he would move on to a new album, but i guess he wants to kill his career even more.
i like this song, but i dont see radio treating it any differently than his last 2 songs
goes for adds on July 28

He's really fallen off. He's only done a few songs this decade that I really can say I like.
"Live Like You Were Dying" "Back When" "Last Dollar"

i hated "I Need You" so pointless. this whole era has been filled with horrible choices.
i didn't like "If You're Reading This" during its run, but i like it now. and i like this one. and "Last Dollar" was ok but the little kids screaming at the end ruined it. "Kristofferson" was pretty bad, and "Suspicions" was beyond horrid.

lol..it was actually you preaching!!! But I so agree..every single he released=MESS. Last dollar was tolerable. Suspicion was atrocious. I Need You was a total bore and a blantant attempt at trying to achieve a hit by dragging Faith(which has recentley released a couple of herself). Kristofferson was trash. So I basically am at him even trying to revive this album/era.

thats why it was funny! i said "Preach" to you quoting what i said and yes, this whole era was screwed up from single #2. "Last Dollar" was ok, and probably one of the best 6 on the album so i guess it deserves to be a single. and then IYRT deserves it and so does this. but "Whiskey And You", "Between The River And Me", and "Train #10" should have been the other 3 releases

The release of IYRT is what screwed this era and Tim's career over. Accompany that with Last Dollar, I Need You, and Kristofferson, plus the release of ANY remake whatsoever and you're just shooting yourself in both feet, and one shot in the abdomen. 38 34 TIM MCGRAW Let It Go 744 582 162 4.242 this is doing pitiful for a Tim McGraw song How's that? It's got 150+ bullet and top 30 already. Great for any artist following up a flop like Kristofferson was. I'm thinking top 10 at least.

well its doing better than his last 2 singles, but still not great compared to what he used to be capable of.
if he would have released "Last Dollar" first (like he did), then followed up with "I Need You" (like he did), and then as soon as "If You're Reading This" took off he should have pulled INY, that held him back a bit. Then he should have released "Whiskey And You", then "Let It Go", then "Between The River And Me". if he did it that way, he would have gotten 5 top 10 hits instead of 2 from this era.

He should've never released the mess that was IYRT.

I actually somewhat liked "Kristofferson", although I think Tim has definitely lost his grip.

i really hated IYRT when it was released, but i kinda like it now. At least it killed "I Need You" off the radio. that song is horrendous. 01. Let It Go -gap- 02. Last Dollar 03. If You're Reading This -huge gap- 04. Kristofferson -gigantic gap- 05. I Need You -endless gap- 06. Suspicions
