Did anyone see Carrie's attitude last night when she accepted her Country Grammy? She always acts like such a snobbish bitch when it comes to pretending she's country music. Girl stop. The last time you were country, your hymen hadn't been ripped yet, and we know that was a LONG time ago
Now she has the nerve to say this?
Carrie Underwood will never make a pop album: When asked if she had plans to make a pure pop album anytime soon, Carrie Underwood said, “No. I love country music. That’s always been what I sang. I just want to sing good songs, write good songs. If it ever crosses over, I just want it to do so on its own, then we can give country music to a different audience.” Underwood also explained the story behind her hologram-infused dress: “They can do a lot of amazing things with projectors these days, and we had a dress specially made so it would be a dress but have a nice projection screen. I said, ‘I should take that home and we should watch movies.'"
Last time I checked, Blown Away and Good Girl weren't REMOTELY country songs.
Bitch just graduated from being an arrogant bitch into a hypocritical thundercunt.
If you haven't noticed, the sound of country music has been changing quite drastically in the last decade or so. Carrie has been part of this trend of pop/rock infused country music. If you take the country chart now, hardly any of the tunes you'll see there are the traditional country style. Does Carrie's music have some pop/rock elements? Yes. Is it pop music? No. The stories behind her songs like "Blown Away" and "Two Black Cadillacs" are what make them country. If you've listened to any of the rest of the album "Blown Away", you'd realize that the singles from this album are the only ones that sound poppy at all. The rest of the album are much more country leaning than pop influenced.
Carrie isn't releasing music like Taylor Swift is with "I Knew You Were Trouble", "22", etc. There is still the country backbone to her music with the pop and rock influences that are popular in country music today on top of that. So please have a better understanding of Country music before you insult the flawless and perfect human being that is Carrie Marie Underwood Fisher.

Carrie has definitely stuck to her country roots more than Taylor Swift, and the simple fact that her voice has a traditional country twang to it definitely helps. Taylor Swift simply sounds like she's trying too hard on her "real" country songs.
Agreed. Carrie can definitely turn the twang on. Look up her cover of "You're Lookin' At Country" and her duet with Randy Travis off his latest duets record called "Is It Still Over" and of course their duet of his hit "I Told You So". Carrie can easily do the more traditional sound of country, its just that sound is not as popular anymore, especially with females. Carrie is choosing to swim instead of sink within the current trend of country music by taking styles of other music that she is also very capable of singing (pop/rock) and incorporating those sounds into her new music.

^I just looked up "You're Lookin' At Country" by Carrie Underwood and I can definitely see what you mean. This sounds like the true, traditional country that is no longer prominent. And if I may so, she sounds really good live...unlike Taylor Swift. Taylor isn't bad, but her live vocals kind of get on my nerves.
Why do you think females don't like the traditional country sound?
Oooh, leave sweet Taylor alone! lol I realize she's barely country at all these days, but she makes good music <3 I haven't really paid much attention to Carrie, so she might be awesome, but her face kinda bothers me lol
