In most genres of music, you know a song belongs to that genre the minute you hear it. Nobody is going to have to guess out loud to whether or not a Kenny Chesney song is country, or if a Nirvana song is rock. However, the Christian genre is much more complex in this regard. Songs aren't given the "Christian" label for musical elements of the song, but rather for the song's lyrical content. While songs don't necessarily have to be about the religion itself, they have to uphold to Christian values and be suitable for the audience.
Christian radio stations have been playing this style of music for decades. In more recent years, it has become common for mainstream artists to get some airplay on these stations. Here are some examples:
Carrie Underwood - Jesus Take The Wheel Lifehouse- You And Me The Fray - How To Save A Life
What are some mainstream songs that you think would be a good fit for Christian radio stations? They can be current, not current and from any genre, as long as they make sense.

Here is a song that was big on Hot AC eight years ago:
I remember S4C and I discussing this song's Christian credibility. I came from the viewpoint that any song questioning church teachings ("in the morning they were wrong") isn't really a Christian song, but S4C convinced me otherwise.
"I believe it when I see it for myself" itself sounds kind of anti-religious, but when him seeing it for himself is in his daughter and the sunset, that changes it completely.
