So I sat down this am and listened to the full album and will give my review on it on. I will first start off that it blows my mind how amazing Amy's voice is still and how strong it holds up. She has never sounded better ;D
What You Want: Well this did not deserve to be a lead single. That is made very clear after you listen to some of the other tracks. 6/10
Made of Stone: This has a very The Open Door feel to it. I think this should have been the lead single. The beat is sick, and the lyrics are amazing. 10/10
The Change: This one is good is one of the more slower songs on the album, not in your face rock. I love how soft her voice goes in this song. 9/10
My Heart Is Broken The vocals are much like The Change. I prefer The Change over this. 7/10
The Other Side: The beginning reminded me of Fall Out Boys "Sugar Were Going Down" lol, but ovb once Amy starts singing that comparison goes out the window. A great song I think its about waiting for a loved one who still hasn't realized what they are missing out and trying to convince them to come back. It's great, I hope its a single! 9/10
Erase This: This is more Pop then Rock. So I think this would be the next single. Its ok, she uses her head voice in it, which is really great. Kind of like What You Want part 2. 6/10
Lost In Paradise: Its a ballad, but much like there ballads this one draws you in and just screams the emotion in her voice and you can really feel it. The lyrics are not the best, but her vocals make up for that. 8/10
Sick: I honestly cannot put my finger on what this song reminds me of, but its very familiar. This one is pretty repetitive on the world 'Sick'. I cant decide if this is a ballad or not. So I shall call it a mid-tempo lol. 8/10
End of the Dream: This is my second favorite track on the album. I really do not even know how to describe it. The lyrics are AMAZING and her notes for this song are flawless. I swear she hits like a G5 in this song. 10/10
b]Oceans[/b]: This is my favorite song! I pray to god this song is a single!!!! Its just wow. Its a very empowering song. 10/10
Never Go Back: Very traditional punk/rock song. 8/10
Swimming Home: This is the true ballad on the track, which is sad because I wanted MORE songs like this. The thing that stands out in this song is the background vocals. They are so eerie and give you goosebumps. 10/10
I would say this album is AMAZING sorry if my review is blah, but thats about all I can say lol. The only thing I really do not like is there is only 2 ballads. Swimming Home is more of a ballad then Lost In Paradise. I would have wanted at least one more
9/10 album rank.
