She performed this live for the first time yesterday. More retro sounding. And I guess the innuendo is alive in this song. "I want to see your pea-cock, cock, cock... I liked the dancing peacocks with dresses in the background too ;D

I want to know how this is going to work on radio. I thought the innuendo would be like a bit more subtle, but I think this might be too much

Who said it was a single?

No one did, but they've been talking about this track a lot, so I think there's a good chance it could be. And Katy is the type who would want to push buttons, so I could see her doing that. But I think it could be risky, she needs to have a huge era this era to seal her place. CG and Teenage Dream are probably big enough already, but it would be kind of dumb to taint the era with a song like this, that is going to have mixed reactions on radio. But then again, she could be seen as like a pioneer if this really takes off uncensored

I don't think it will be that big of a deal because technically it is not bad. It reminds me of many other songs like where 50 Cent says Take me to ecstasy without taking ecstasy << this one was censored The first use is about "getting higher" but in the sense of "love" The second use is the drug They are the same word, but only 1 is editedThe way Katy is using "cock" is appropriate. Obviously she means it to mean something else, but I doubt it will cause a big scene. It would be different if she said Peacock, Big cock, juicy cock but since cock is just the repeating of a syllable from another word, it is all good. I highly doubt he label would allow her to mess up with anything. plus with Britney spears, they released a small edit for the song, but only some conservative markets used it. I remember a lot of people saying there station played the "Explicit" version.

This will get If U Seek Amy reactions, but more intense if this is a single.

Have you listened to the whole song? It's not that subdued. With something like If U Seek Amy, they never really talked about what it really meant. The verses made it sound like Amy was a real person, and then you got the little tongue twister in the chorus. But this song is all about the "peacock" And If U Seek Amy hurt Britney either way, but she is already leagues above Katy, and could take a risk like that.

I heard the whole song, but it really isn't that "dirty" compared to other songs we have on the radio.

I'm looking at the Pop Top 40, and I don't see anything like this. He must be thinking of "Kissin' U". That right there is very inappropriate for radio. Or maybe "We'll Be A Dream" or "The Only Exception" those are pretty bad too.

Cock is a syllable of peacock, it will be fine on radio. If the song was actually be about a peacock then yes it would be fine, but its not so there definitely will be some controversy if its released as a single.

She sounds a lot better live if that's her singing with no backtrack. I think this song is stupid though.

She sounds a lot better live if that's her singing with no backtrack. I think this song is stupid though. I think it must be backtrack. Her vocals sound too good And I think there were some moments in the video where her mic was away from her mouth but the track kept going. As for the song, I kind of like it. Enough for me to say that the three tracks I've heard so far from this album are fairly good. This song is goofy, but kind of interesting in a so bad-it's good kind of way?

I thought I read some Billboard article that said Fireworks was? Or is that just for Europe?

I read also that fireworks was her next single. There may be a radio edit and Woohoo is a lot nastier than this.
