Can't deny the facts. More people like Miley/Hannah then they do Mariah, which is how it should be that is so far from the truth

Thanks for posting that. That goes back to what I was saying earlier about her not doing well on pop this decade for the most besides TEOM.

Kind of sad that Mariah was once seen as a Pop powerhouse and then she switched to Urban queen, I kind of think Honey did that

So it was Fantasy that really started the end of it all.

It was bound to happen after year of mostly #1s and #2.
And did you mean Forever?

No Fantasy, like yes that and OSD were hits but it was like the beginning of her "Urban-ish" stylings

You consider Fantasy urban? Or did you mean the remix? One Sweet Day has soul/R&B elements, but it wasn't much different from most of her ballads before this.

They only credited him at Urban and Rhyth, not Pop.

Some CHR still played the version with T.I.

Post by BRiTNASTY on Jul 22, 2009 18:07:56 GMT -5
Yes but they only credit him if a majority share is playing it, only the urban leaning ones who actually added the song played. I know we played the regular version
Post by DJ 7.0 on Jul 22, 2009 18:08:42 GMT -5
Well it doesn't matter if he was credited or not, without him, the song would have done much worse
Post by BRiTNASTY on Jul 22, 2009 18:09:21 GMT -5
Obviously not at Pop if he wasn't credited
Post by DJ 7.0 on Jul 22, 2009 18:11:31 GMT -5
The version with him was still played. So how does a credit have anything to do with this?
Post by BRiTNASTY on Jul 22, 2009 18:20:47 GMT -5
I'm just saying, if 70 stations added the song and only 10 were playing the T.I. version, then technically 60 stations were playing the non-t.i. version
So, if Pop was playing the regular version, saying T.I. helped Pop airplay when he wasn't credited isn't a correct statement.
he helped on Urban and Rhythmic but not Pop

It didn't do a ton, but it helped.
