She's no stranger to controversy and is always coming out with outlandish comments which cause a stir.
And now Sharon Osbourne has come forward to say that Cheryl Cole has no chance of making it in America when she goes over next year for the American version of The X Factor.
Former X Factor judge Sharon claims that while Cheryl is popular in the UK, her success will be eclipsed by that of Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger, who is also tipped for the US panel.
She told Now magazine: 'Cheryl’s perfect for England - she’s the nation’s sweetheart and they absolutely love her.
'But over here it’s Nicole’s town. You have to think of the audience and most of them would never have heard of Girls Aloud.
'Nicole’s great TV, has a huge following here in the States and people absolutely love her. Plus she’s beautiful and talented.'
Nicole is a favourite to join the panel of the American show after proving popular when she joined the judges during the audition stages of the programme earlier this year.
And while Sharon says she believes Cheryl is making the right decision to move to Los Angeles, she said she will find it difficult finding the same success Stateside.
She added: 'It takes a long time to make it in the States because it’s so huge. She couldn’t just come over here and do a show then pootle off.'
It was revealed earlier this month that Cheryl had taken on the US X Factor role in a deal worth up to £3million.
She was officially offered the job after executives from U.S. television network Fox flew in to watch the X Factor - and the judge - in action.
X Factor mogul Cowell, 51, la recently revealed that he planned to announce the judges for the U.S. version in December.
The multi-millionaire said: ‘I’m going to make an announcement within three or four weeks, which is going to tell everyone everything. There will be some surprises.’
He then revealed: ‘OK, one of the judges has quite long hair.'

That article is godawfully hilarious. 'But over here it’s Nicole’s town. You have to think of the audience and most of them would never have heard of Girls Aloud.
'Nicole’s great TV, has a huge following here in the States and people absolutely love her. Plus she’s beautiful and talented.'NICOLES TOWN!? HUGE FOLLOWING!? LMFAO HAHAHAHAHA The bitch has NO SOLO HITS, has no huge following outside of PCD and she has a very polarizing personality lmfao Sharon Osbourne is either delusional, or these are flase statements.

Cheryl ’still to sign US X Factor deal’Cheryl Cole has revealed that she is yet to sign a deal to star as a judge on Simon Cowell’s US version of The X Factor. The singer’s comments have cast doubt on claims that she will sit on the show’s judging panel, after Cowell said earlier this month that the lineup was already confirmed. “There have been conversations but who knows what will happen,” Cole told Alan Carr during his Channel 4 show Chatty Man.“I had such a mind full of stuff to deal with before last Sunday’s final,” Cole continued. “I have had no time to get my head round anything.”The Girls Aloud star admits that the idea of moving stateside was a big decision and says that she needs time to consider her options. Cheryl Cole’s appearance on Alan Carr: Chatty Man will air tomorrow on Channel 4 at 10pm. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Her team really needs to stop f ucking with my emotions. I know she can't say anything officially because Simon is going to be making the announcement before the New Year but ugh, every single damn day there's a new article out about how she is coming stateside and then the rumor that Simon is building a house for Cheryl on his wide expansive property in California; then photos surface of construction crews on his property; THEN THIS FREAKING ARTICLE. Seriously, these articles are making me bipolar. For weeks I'm: Now today I am going to be:

Truth. Don't understand her appeal what so ever. I get that there is a void in the U.K. and Cheryl is there so, do what you have to. But here? Her blandness won't do her any favors even if she is gorgeous as all get out. The Brits don't know how to evaluate things, either they are too busy tearing everything they love down, into bitter pieces, or they give random, unending, superfluous praise to things which don't deserve it.

Sorry! This bitch is useless. Can't sing nor dance. Okay well you're f**king dumb. You posted two performances that have been horribly sped up. She can OBVIOUSLY SING if she was one of the forefronts vocally of Girls Aloud. The real Flood performance without horrible sped up Cheryl sounds great. All of this "can't sing" accusations coming from someone who stans for a woman who sings live maybe one time every 5 years (on publicized television). The "Can't Dance" accusation is laughable considering Britney hasn't done any difficult choreography in almost 6 years (In The Zone era). The two performances of Promise This, from X Factor & Children In Need feature more complex dancing than what Britney did on her last tour (ARM DANCING ISNT DANCING). (Another flawless example of Chezzas live voice in the beginning as well). Cheryl also can ballroom dance For even more precision watch the actual music video Also look at Fight For This Love, amazing dance break and she sang most of it live I think people should stop slinging mud and actual do fact checking. Until then....

Just because she fronted a female group doesn't mean that she has vocal prowess, and the Britney comparisons are boring and trite, if she was really as talented as you say she was she would be able to shine on her own without you needing to result to bastardized comparisons in your failed attempts to make her look good. To say she is a better dancer than Britney is blasphemous, especially considering there were moments where Britney actually was on it in her last era including the dances from both the Circus and 3 music videos. That at least equaled if not bested Cheryl in terms of the dancing game. Furthermore Britney has more charisma and personality in her left thumbnail even when heavily medicated than Cheryl has with her entire GA crew behind her. There is a reason why Cheryl and co. are covering her hit singles instead of the other way around. Does it really matter that Britney's dances the past era were less complex and as exhausting as her 2001/2003 era's? Not in the larger scale of things. She's already proved herself capable of doing Jackson level performances, and one of the few artists of our time that is truly able to rock it and put on a show like no other, and that can never be taken away from her. To compare her performances and her style to the emaciated showings of Cheryl Cole is beyond disgusting, incredibly laughable, and extremely offensive. Bottom line is that Britney's shows aren't like they were 6 years ago, but the whole point is that they don't really have to be, because no one else can do a Britney level show the way she did back then anyway. This random Cheryl stanning is getting out of hand, and is a bit annoying, considering the bitch doesn't do anything worthy of the 24/7 devotion that you participate in day in and day out. She's pretty that's it. Say what you will about her singing but most of the sheet music for Girls Aloud doesn't go above a C5, so boasting that she fronted a group of other non-singers doesn't help out her case what so ever. Wasn't it once said that the emphasis for GA wouldn't be the singing anyway? Regardless she is not a great singer by any imagination, which would be fine if she had other skills. And no the weak dancing from FFTL, Parachute, and other tweed, fake, model pose like dancing that Kylie Minogue does and that can be found in the early episodes of dancing with the stars aren't quite going to cut it here in America for Cheryl. Please imagine Cheryl doing this, without wailing in pain in her horrible and ugly gordie accent. It was all good till you mentioned Britney.

Cheryl named the UK’s Celebrity Hero of The YearX Factor judge Cheryl Cole is named the UK’s Celebrity Hero Of The Year in a new poll. The 27-year-old British singer came top of Virgin Media’s new poll to find the showbiz heroes and villains of 2010. She beat off X Factor contestant Wagner and Strictly Come Dancing’s Anne Widdecombe to the top spot. Actor Johnny Depp and actress Emma Watson were also in the top five as were Prince William and Kate Middleton. British footballer Wayne Rooney was voted the UK’s celebrity villain of the year with Justin Bieber surprisingly in second place. Virgin Media’s Alison Davis said: ‘While Wayne Rooney’s love-rat behaviour warrants his place in the villains poll, what is surprising is that teen idol Justin Bieber came in at No 2.’ Also Alex Gerrard has revealed Cheryl Cole is her hero of the year in her OK! column this week. Our girl Alex Gerrard, who reflects on a busy year in her OK! column this week, said X Factor 2010 judge Cheryl Cole is her hero after going through such a tough year. She wrote: “My Hero of the year is Cheryl Cole. “She’s been through a rough time with her malaria and divorce and still came out looking amazing on The X Factor every week.” ----------------------------------- EVEN THOUGH ITS A MEANINGLESS AWARD, CHERYL IS STILL PERFECT. To Monroe: I am not some RANDOM Cheryl stan. My love for Cheryl started with FFTL. She is a genuine human being and an amazing one at that. I don't give two f ucks about yours or Joels or any bitter Betty (note: i am not calling you or Joel bitter Betty's, I like the nickname lol) on the street's opinion about Cheryl. I used to stan hardcore for Britney (you can ask anyone, I was as delusional as they come) but at the end of the day its about loving who you love. You can say I love some basic chick and I simply do not care. Musicians are not put on this earth to be Albert Einstein, they are put on this earth to bless us with their talents and indirectly inspire us. Cheryl is to me now as what Britney was to me for 8 years. Her music is great, she has fun pop songs and slow songs that inspire great feelings through the lyrics and their deliver. Like Britney used to, Cheryl entertains me in her performances, they keep me on my toes and visually stun me. Like Britney used to, Cheryl is an eloquent, soft spoken, but strong individual in interviews. Like Britney always will be, she is a beautiful woman who will continue to envelope strong hate in people. That's the true meaning of an artist; not to inspire hatred in one another. And for the record, I will always first and foremost be a Britney fan. Will I ever stan for her again? If she ever gives me a reason to, I will join up the ranks again, but I don't see her making a switchback to 2004 and prior Britney. Too much has happened for that to ever happen again, but one can hope and wish. But for now, there are other fish in the water.

I don't hate Cheryl at all. She is to me what you just stated in your response, "a basic bitch", I am ambivalent towards her personally. I just ask not to be told that hamburger is steak. I have no clue how she is as a person, as I am not that invested in her personal strife or personal problems.
She can very well be the nicest person on the face of the planet, that won't effect how I view her musical contributions. The two are by no means exclusive. When you have critics and fans alike saying that they probably wouldn't like the material she releases if it were not sung by her I think that alone says volumes about what she is releasing and it's quality. Add a middling cd to boot that was filled with filler material, that self proclaimed fans see as GA rejected tracks then I think that says enough. That's all I will say about the subject of her musical contributions and material.
In terms of her talent I will simply say it seems marginal in an just add water kind of way I don't think she is charismatic at all. I respect that you identify with what she is putting out, as she does seem to have an appeal although I do wonder how much of it is real and how much of it is simply visual aesthetic. It reminds me of a paper mache toy, cute but with no practical purpose.

Simon Cowell threatens to scrap US X Factor over Cheryl
Simon Cowell has insisted that he will scrap plans for the US X Factor unless he is allowed to give Cheryl Cole a job on the judging panel, says a report.
TV executives for the Fox network are not convinced that Cheryl will be a hit with American viewers on the planned show.
Sources told the Daily Star Sunday that they believe that the Girls Aloud singer is “too much of an unknown quantity” in the US.
The insider told the newspaper that Cowell is a loggerheads with his colleagues in Los Angeles.
The show source said: “Simon is clashing heads with US producers who don’t want Cheryl on board.
“Bosses are convinced the show needs big US stars to compete with the star-studded line-up of American Idol.
“The American public don’t know who Cheryl is and just `being a good friend of Simon’s from some unknown girlband’ isn’t cutting it.”
The source added: “Simon’s had some heated phone calls with the producers. He thinks Cheryl is perfect for the role.” ------------------------------------------------------
Yet they want Nicole Scherzinger as a judge because she's a HUGE star?
PUHLEEZ.
Also, they're giving completely unknown Dermot O'Leary the hosting job, so whats the big deal. Let Cheryl have the job for one season, if they don't like her then get rid of her.

Justin Bieber Wants Glee Role For Cheryl ColeJustin Bieber has revealed that he has been offered a cameo in Glee, but will only take up the offer if Cheryl Cole also gets a part in the show.Speaking to The Sun, the 16-year old heartthrob, who has made no secret of his crush on the Girls Aloud beauty, claims that a guest role on the hit US TV show will be the perfect way for Chezza to be introduced to America. Bieber told the newspaper: "I am going to tell the producers that it must be in the agreement that Cheryl gets a part in the show as well.""Cheryl and the show make total sense. It's all about people who look good and can sing and dance - that's totally Cheryl."Justin, who is a huge fan of the 27-year old star, also admitted that he wants to collaborate with Cheryl, claiming that he plans to hook-up with The Flood singer as soon as she arrives Stateside for her rumoured new judging job on the US version of The X Factor. The Baby hitmaker confessed: "I have told her every time I have seen her that as soon as she lands in the US for The X Factor I am going to work with her.""Glee is a great way to introduce her to the States - everybody is watching it. She looks beautiful, but I am not sure she could quite get away with playing a student."He added: "It would be great if she played a substitute teacher taking a sabbatical from England or something. Can you imagine how hot Cheryl would look dressed as a school teacher?"Justin, who is rumoured to be dating Disney star Selena Gomez, also stated this week that he "can't wait to share" his new 3D movie, Never Say Never, with his fans next month. The Pray singer also told his followers on Twitter: "Everyday people ask me about different rumours. Well i guess my new answer will be wait until #NEVERSAYNEVER3D it answers them all." Bieber also posted a sneak peak of the movie on the social networking site, accompanied with the message: "ITS COMING!! Feb 11th!!" ------------------------------------ The article sounds fake considering the only quotes they kept from him were about Chezza and then used tweets to support his movie lmao but I AM ALL FOR IT!!!!!!!

FOX Exec Says Simon Working To Secure ‘X Factor’ Judges Panel PASADENA, Calif. -- Simon Cowell’s “X Factor” heads to America in the fall, and one of the most talked about potential judges for the show – British singer Cheryl Cole – apparently has a fan in FOX’s top brass.“If Cheryl was to be on the show, I think she’s proved that she’s a terrific judge,” FOX Networks Group Chairman of Entertainment Peter Rice told a small group of reporters during a break at the Television Critics Association Winter 2011 Session on Tuesday, when asked about the possibility of importing the 20-something singer.
Cole serves as one of the two female judges on the British “X Factor,” and the FOX chief said he thinks she’s a stand out.
“She has wonderful chemistry with Simon,” he said.Rice noted that he’s been having regular discussions with Cowell as the months inch closer to the “X Factor” start date, and he said the judge is still working on securing the right group when he launches the show in America. “There’s great speculation. I think Simon is still meeting and trying to find the right mixture of men and women to be on the panel,” Rice said. “It’ll be four judges as it is in England — it’s two men, two women… one of which will be Simon.”While it sounds like Cole, the former wife of English soccer star Ashley Cole (they split last year), might be on the list, Rice said FOX will have “traditional network approvals” over the panel Cowell brings to them, which Rice confirmed will be announced before the Summer TCAs.“Simon’s going to come to us and tell us who the judges are,” Rice said. “Simon’s going to come to us and he’s going to say, ‘This is who I would like the judges to be,’ and we’ll have a conversation about it.” Beyond the judges, who in a move different to “Idol,” become mentors to particular groups of contestants on the “X Factor,” Rice said he thinks the show will have a major impact due to the contestants. “I think it’s an amazing TV show. They’re in their seventh year, I think, in the UK and it was its biggest year ever. It took over the country,” Rice said. “It’s just so well produced, so fun, so wildly entertaining… I think if they discover the next Susan Boyle next year on ‘X Factor’ — that’s not something that will happen on ‘Idol.’ If they discover, Stevie Wonder or Michael Jackson or some 10-year-old phenomenon, that’s not something you’re gonna see on ‘Idol.’ “The other thing which I find most different about it is the way in which the judges own the groups, or own their categories, really differentiates the show,” Rice continued. “I’m really excited to bring the show here. I think Simon’s an incredible producer of TV. I think he knows how to make the show work and I think it’s going to be embraced over here.” Copyright 2011 by NBC Universal, Inc. All rights reserved. The apartment, which is part of the 42-storey Century building, is thought to have four acres of private gardens, as well as boasting of a cinema, a private 74ft pool, a wine cellar and 24-hour security.
The Girls Aloud star's new home is also said to be "just a couple of miles" from rumoured boyfriend Derek Hough's $630,000 property, which he is said to have brought in a bid to settle down with Cheryl when she arrives Stateside.
Cole is allegedly hoping that by investing in the apartment and by making a more permanent move to America, it will help her dreams of cracking the US.
As we previously reported, Fox boss Peter Rice has given the biggest indication yet that Chezza will be a judge on US XF, stating that he thinks the 27-year old is "a terrific judge" while also praising her chemistry with fellow panelist, Simon Cowell.www.mtv.co.uk/artists/cheryl-cole/news/253351-cheryl-cole-us-x-factor-new-homeExcuse me while Cher Lloyd expresses my current excitement SHE'S BASICALLY CONFIRMED. She has A LOT of leftover tracks from the MLR recording sessions. She recorded with RedOne, Fernando Garibay, Ryan Tedder & Fraser T. Smith during the initial sessions and none of the songs made the cut.
Rumor has it those songs were being saved for a pending US release.
I personally, being a blind stan and all, think Messy Little Raindrops, while nowhere near the epicness that is '3 Words', was still a solid Pop album.
The only song on it I cannot stand for the life of me is "Raindrops". There are A LOT of single worthy party jams on there in "Yeah Yeah", "Everyone", "Let's Get Down" and "Live Tonight".
"Better To Lie" sounds like it would do amazingly in the US if released 2nd or 3rd as a single and replace Austin Rigo with a more notable US male singer a la Chris Brown, Justin Bieber (though I think a 17 year old singing to a 27 year old woman might be a little "ewww" but it could work) or even Usher would make the song better.
"Waiting" and "Amnesia" are the more pop-y songs and "Happy Tears" is a good album track but I can't see it being a hit in any market.
Now if you take a look at 3 Words as an album as a whole, theres a lot of 'current' sounding hits on there. Most notably the title track. "Fight For This Love" is one of the most undeniably catchy Pop records of the last 5 years and followed by "Parachute", Cheryl has had a strong, consistent singles run.
Her B-sides are also more subservant to the US market. "Boys", the b-side to 3 Words, could be a huge Summer banger if it were released. The chorus is super catchy and Cheryl's delivery makes the song entirely translatable and can be related to anyone. "Just Let Me Go", the b-side to Parachute, could be another hit for her in the states if they just change up the intro a little more to make it more instant, but again, the chorus hits hard, is reminiscent of a heavy club anthem and its insanely catchy.
I mean yes, I may be blinded because I am what one considers a ~delusional stan~, but whatever.
I think if she wants to do a cohesive US release, she needs to take the best tracks from 3W & MLR, add her 2 B-sides and record 4 to 5 new songs; give me an album with 15-17 tracks and it would be perfect.
She's already talking about wanting to record new material so its perfect. If she does indeed get the X Factor slot (and at this point, with all the press baiting they've done to her and how Simon has coyly nonchalantly answered it in interviews where she's present, if he doesn't get her on the panel it would be a slap in her face), then by all means record some US friendly tracks. Call up Dr Luke and get her a radio ready and easily addictive song and send it off to radio.
All these UK acts are coming to America in 2011 and 2012, most notably my favorites The Wanted & Alexandra Burke, and Cheryl is by far the most worthy of becoming a US superstar. She is the biggest selling UK act two years running for a reason.
Plus if Cheryl does become a hit in the states, its a greater chance of Girls Aloud doing a few US tour dates on their 10 year anniversary reunion tour in 2012.

In other news, British tabloids keep writing the same article over and over again. Perez Hilton can go get gunned down in LA. I am depressed.
