They shot a music video for a yet-to-be-known titled duet coming from either a new album from Tim McGraw or a soundtrack single release for one of Miley's movies.

It would have made more sense for him to do a song with Taylor Swift. Will country take this seriously?

Why wouldn't they? "Ready, Set, Don't Go" with Billy Ray Cyrus went top 5 and "The Climb" went top 30 on Country. Miley isn't shunned on Country radio.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. I remember hearing "The Climb" on my country station (WMZQ) quite often. I was wondering what it was doing on there, but I guess when you've got "All Summer Long" going top 5... Tim McGraw stopped being consistent over 10 years ago. I highly doubt that I will like this.

but I guess when you've got "All Summer Long" going top 5... Don't remind me Tim McGraw stopped being consistent over 10 years ago. I highly doubt that I will like this. Yeah I agree. I haven't loved anything from him since... I can't even remember His new album is atrocious. The previous one had some okay songs but none of them got released as singles And before that was Greatest Hits which had "I've Got Friends That Do" which was a MASTERPIECE but didn't get released and I really liked "When The Stars Go Blue" from that as well. so WTSGB was the last song I loved from him. And that was like 2006...

^I agree that "I've Got Friends That Do" was a flawless country track. The lyrics were fantastic, and it's easily better than all of the singles he's put out since "Live Like You Were Dying" back in 2004. Based on the double disc greatest hits album I have, I would say that he was a consistant artist with the singles he released from 1994-1998. After that, it was all hit or miss for me. but I guess when you've got "All Summer Long" going top 5... Don't remind me As much as I loved that song, I knew it didn't belong on country.

Yeah I like a lot of old Tim songs, but haven't LOVED anything in the time period I've followed Country music (2003/2004) other than "Live Like You Were Dying", "I've Got Friends That Do" and I really liked "When The Stars Go Blue" but not LOVE. Everything else has pretty much either been ATROCIOUS, boring, or just okay.

Let's just remember one thing:
It took Miley Cyrus for her own father to get his first major radio hit since ABH. The Climb went Top 30. Butterfly Fly Away went Top 70 on Country without even being releassed officially.
Miley would be welcomed to country but she doesn't like the politics/bullshit of the format.
Oh and Miley is perfect, so there's that factoir too :-p

Why is country playing her, though? Because the women who listen have daughters that are her fans? And Zack, I agree with your analysis of Tim McGraw. I will say that the "1, 2, 3" song he had a few years ago was pretty good too, though.

"Last Dollar"!? The little kids singing at the end makes me want to claw my ears off. And the song itself is just stupid
