Sonically speaking, most of what’s here are diminished returns: the hooks aren’t quite as tight, the production has less personality, and the vocals are the most grating they’ve ever been in a Swift studio recording. It sounds like a rough outtake meant to be slapped onto future reissues of Fearless, not a smash-in-waiting meant to lay the foundation for a strong new era of Taylor-Nation-alism.

That sounded awesome. And it's a great lineup. Taylor needs to do the 13 hour thing again so I can fly down there, hit on her, then party it up with my friend Erik. Or she needs to do what she teased a couple weeks ago and do mini versions at every concert stop.
P.S. Why can't I find a CD quality version of the Pop mix? It's been out for a couple days in several international iTunes stores and the only version I can find is a rip from the BBC. Internet, I am disappoint.
NEW YORK (Billboard) - If the rest of Taylor Swift's highly anticipated new album is as strong as its finely crafted lead single, then it's a sure bet that her career juggernaut will continue.
"Mine" possesses a vibrant energy that perfectly complements her impassioned vocals. As the artist matures personally and professionally, the song demonstrates that she's successfully making the transition from a teen ingenue writing about high school crushes to a young woman exploring the complexities of adult relationships. Swift is a master at creating memorable lines, and one of the standouts here is, "You made a rebel of a careless man's careful daughter." By no means is "Mine" so heavy that she'll lose any of her legion of young fans, yet there's lyrical substance wrapped in the buoyant melody that shows Swift has the goods to go the distance and continue to broaden her audience.
But seriously, she was at her peak in 2008, man. Back then, I wouldn't have minded having to sit through a show of hers for NFL Kickoff. Now I have to hear both her and Dave Matthews Band. Chances are, DMB won't sing any of their good songs since they usually don't seem to perform them anyway.
XFER: Well Ivan or whatever it is your name (lol) it's hard not to miss someone when we're so few. <3
