Quality Fireflight as usual. Hard hitting, yet melodic.

Amazing song. The first time I heard this was at a concert and I was like Wow!! I really need to hear the studio version. The lead singer is amazing live.

And please don't say Christian. Christian is a genre, and thats what they are. They are similar to Skillet, which I don't understand why I have never liked any of their songs since I love Skillet. But they are Christian rock and a big act on that sub-format.

I just don't understand how Christian is a genre. You could be writing Christian lyrics to a country song, a rock song, a heavy metal song or a rap song. There's no such thing as Christian beats, guitar riffs or vocals. Just lyrics.

That's very true. I think Christian music, for that very reason, is a genre but its different than all the other genres. Some Christian songs could be found at #1 on the Pop, Country, Rock or Hip-Hop charts as well as the Christian chart where they mostly remain exclusively. And to reverse things, many Pop, Country, Rock (and well I can't think of any popular Hip-Hop songs that could be played on Christian radio ) songs could crossover to Christian radio. Just to name a few songs of these genres that HAVE crossed over to Christian are: Jordin Sparks' "One Step At A Time", Carrie Underwood's "Jesus Take The Wheel", Mat Kearney's "Closer To Love", Jon McLaughlin's "Beating My Heart", The Fray's "You Found Me" & "How To Save A Life", Kris Allen's "Live Like We're Dying", Miley Cyrus' "The Climb", Daughtry's "Home", Rascal Flatts' "My Wish" and there have been MANY more hit songs of these 3 genres that have crossed over to the Christian format. And in fact, tons of Country, Pop, & Rock popular rock songs throughout the years could have easily been played on Christian radio. A "Christian" song doesn't have to be about God or Jesus, although many do. The Christian genre consists of songs with great messages that lyrically fit the teachings of Jesus Christ or that talks about life in a positive manner which our God has blessed upon us. To me, that is what makes "Christian" a genre of music.

^That last paragraph was pure gold, Zack. That was a truly great explanation. And I'm glad you agree with me on this. Someone could write any sort of lyrics over any sort of music, you know? But I'm curious....how did "How to Save a Life" crossover to Christian with the lyric "I swear to God he kills you" I felt that line seemed uneasy on Hot AC radio, so I couldn't imagine it on Christian radio. And correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't "You and Me" spend some time on the Christian charts as well? BTW, I totally LOL'd at what you said about popular rap songs. ;D It's so true though. But I knew a guy (who knew a guy) that was in a "church rap group". I was wondering "How is that possible?"

At least I think "How To Save A Life" crossed over Idk. I've never really thought about it lol. And yes, Lifehouse has had a few crossover hits as well. I know "Whatever It Takes" was a hit on Christian AC and I think CHR as well. And I think "First Time" may have slightly crossed over as well. So I wouldn't doubt that "You and Me" did the same. Christian rap? Have you never heard of tobyMac? Also Group 1 Crew is basically the Christian version of Black Eyed Peas lol. Its just a rapper with Christian lyrics rather than lyrics about sex, drugs, and alcohol with a curse word between every other word.

^Group 1 Crew is an obvious play on the controversial rap group 2 Live Crew. I've heard of tobyMAC, I just didn't know who he was.

never heard of 2 Live Crew. But tobyMac raps in some of his songs, but overall he is more of a hip-hop christian artist. and he is one of the biggest names in christian music.

I heard that some Christian group did a parody of Kid Rock's "Cowboy" called "Choirboy". Have you ever heard about that? I heard they replaced all of the drugs/sex type lyrics with lyrics about what a typical church boy would do. ;D I gotta hear it.
