By looking at the album sales from 1999 to 2004, you can see that a lot of people stopped buying album and started downloading them online. It is a real pity. at the remix collection. Nobody bought it ?

No, Britney was pregnant there was no promotion for it. Yes, even less promo than Blackout.

$$$
They probably made a significant amount of bank on it. No money needed to be used for music videos or anything, they didn't promote it, it probably made them money tenfold and they didn't even have to do anything. $5 million dollars off a project with basically little out of pocket? Why wouldn't they release it?

It would have been cool if the In The Mix album came right off of an album. Like remix the 4th single and have it featured on the album, or something like that ala Jlo.

I remember seeing something like that for her fan club and that Britney was using the money from the budget to promote the album for a party for her fans.

u know album sales are WAAAY down with MP selling more than Circus and Blackout COMBINED WW. Britney probably missed out by not releasing a record within the 05-06 quarters, that was the last sales period where sales were truly impressive with the mammoth successes of Breakaway, Some Hearts, Future Sex/Love Sounds, and All The Right Reasons. Had Britney released Blackout in that time period it probably would have went at least two-times platinum even with under performing singles.

She will with the next album. If her lead single gets a bit more "rhythmic exposure" I could see her doing 4 million with it .

Isnt the rhythmic audience the same style of audience as pop? Or at enough overlap?

Isnt the rhythmic audience the same style of audience as pop? Or at enough overlap? I don't quite think so. Most of the 4million+ songs usually end up having multi-format power to them. I'm Yours, So What, Just Dance, Tik Tok, etc.

Isnt the rhythmic audience the same style of audience as pop? Or at enough overlap? Yeah a feel like nowadays, rhythmic stations are pretty much pop stations minus some pop/rock songs (maybe not now since most pop/rock songs nowadays are "rhythmic" anyway. )
