 I think, personally, in Madonna's almost 30 year career, her finest album came out in November 2005. The album was a full frontal assault of throwback Disco combined with almost influential electronic dance sounds. From the aural orgasm that is the first single "Hung Up" to the punching electronic bassline in the kiss of anthem "Sorry", Madonna personified herself as creating a career-defining album that is Confessions On A Dancefloor. It spawned a visual masterpiece that was the Confessions World Tour.  The era also spawned one of the most epic and brilliant Grammy performances in recent history:

LAP, Erotica and ROL were miles better. IMO.

Not my favorite album from her but I liked this a lot, especially since this came out during a time when I loved dance music.

I've been listening to this album a lot lately. I wish I could relive seeing her on the Confessions Tour again.
