I don't think DMB ever had a chance. They didnt even win best rock album! And every other album in AOTY won their genre category. But I do think if Kings of Leon's album had been eligible they would have beat Fearless.

Use Somebody is the worst pop #1 in my opinion. I hated that song its entire run. You Belong With Me and Love Story are both top notch while that pathetic excuse of a song deserves to be forgotten and dropped from every top 40 playlist.

You can try to that all you like DJ, but you and I have talked about this countless times, and why that is such a flaw. Any album that gets nominated in a big category but cant win their genre is doomed as they dont have enough support from their own people, so how can they win overall?

Fearless was easily the most deserving of winning out of those nominated in my opinion. It doesn't really matter in the end anyway, as who "should have" won is irrelevant. ;D

It doesn't really matter in the end anyway, as who "should have" won is irrelevant. ;D It was pretty much the album that defied odds and was a monster seller in terms of its longevity. All those weeks in the top 10 proved that her material connected well with a wide audience as well as being critically acclaimed. It deserved the award as much as I wish GaGa took it.

HITS is saying she could be #1 again this week. Both her and Susan are projected for 240-260k.

There are 1,233 stations whose airplay is used to build the Billboard Hot 100, and 501 were playing "Mine" for the chart week of November 6th. Billboard also reported that no other song even cracked 400 stations. I had no idea "Mine" was such a huge radio song.

It's charting on pop. hot ac, ac and country at the same time unlike her previous singles which peaked at country prior to being released elsewhere .

That is a good point, but still, to be over 100+ stations ahead of the next song is a bit shocking
