Seeing isn't everything. She released 3 albums in less than 2 years...several top 10 singles and don't forgot how every day for months upon months all you heard was britney news on channels
plus she has done promo on awards shows since 2007. she won a lot of awards, etc.
it isnt just all about the past few weeks im talking about from Fall 2007 to Fall 2009

TSC doesnt count considering it only has 1 new song on it and what promo has she done on awards shows? she was at the 2008 vmas and the teen choice awards. thats it. all im saying is if you go ask people, most will say she isn't. but this is a stupid argument so lets just end it

I count the greatest hits as an album
either way 1 album per 2 years is a common thing. 1.5-2 years is acceptable

Beyonce Could Release New Single In Next Few Weeks 'Listening to New B record Dream wrote ... Y'all C in 3 weeks!' producer Los Da Mystro tweeted Wednesday.
Fans are slowly but surely getting more and more details about Beyoncé's next album. And the latest word is that the singer could release her first single from the album within the next three weeks. While the name of the song is still unknown, it appears that Lady B is well on her way to releasing new music off her follow-up disc to 2008's I Am ... Sasha Fierce.
"Listening to New B record Dream wrote ... F---INg INSANE! WOw!! She About to Kill the game again! Had to Listen again!! Y'all C in 3 weeks!" producer Los Da Mystro, a frequent collaborator of The-Dream, who worked with Tricky Stewart on Beyoncé's hit "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)," tweeted. "Thats what they sayn now.. But it is the music Business. could b sooner r lata."
MTV News hadn't received comment by Beyoncé's label by press time.
However, the producers and songwriters she's been working with on the album have been dropping hints about what fans might expect on Beyoncé's fourth studio album. So far Ne-Yo, Jim Jonsin and Sean Garrett have all opened up about penning tracks for the album. And with the tweet from Los Da Mystro, it's evident that she's once again working with The-Dream and Stewart.
B's last album spawned the hits "Single Ladies," "If I Were a Boy," her Gaga-collabo "Video Phone" and "Halo." And while it is unknown what direction this next album will take, Ne-Yo has pointed out that Beyoncé has an "agenda" all her own.
"She's an artist that knows exactly what she wants to do," he told MTV News. "She's going to give you directions [like], 'Here's where I'm going, so here's where I need you to be.' And, you know, I'm a person that follows direction well. [And she'll be like], 'So this is the sound, this is the vibe; make it happen.' And I write and she likes it or she doesn't. And in this case she did, and there you have it."
Since she killed off her alter-ego Sasha Fierce for her next album, this record will be all Beyoncé. Producer Jim Jonsin recently noted that while he wants to go even more '80s than the pair did on "Sweet Dreams," he's also looking to try out some other genres with the singer. "Even some sexy mid-tempos, see if she likes that and I'll try that too," Jonsin said.
Whatever the album ends up sounding like, Garrett promised that it won't be a rehash of previous material. He explained, "We're working on some really incredible music. We're going to stretch a little bit — take it to a whole new level, if Beyoncé can go to a whole new level. ... It's going to be her biggest album ever. We're going to take it to a whole other level."
Beyonce's fourth album to feature dance music
According to producer Sean Garrett, Beyonce's upcoming fourth solo album will have a party feel. He says they're going into the studio this week to begin working on the project.
At Mtv TV Video Music Awards, Garrett said to the Music Mix, “I think we are doing a lot of up-tempo records for this one. She’s in such a good place right now in life that she is interested in making party music, definitely.”
The Houston native's most recent hits have been more upbeat, like her song "Single Ladies" and "Telephone", her collaboration with Lady Gaga.
There's no expected release date for the unnamed album at this time.
Jim Jonsin Wants to Take Beyoncé Back to the ’80s on New Album
Jim Jonsin has gotten the call from Beyoncé. The producer behind “Sweet Dreams” says B is ready to ramp up recording on her fourth solo album. While they haven’t hit the studio just yet, Jim already has some ideas up his sleeve. “I’d like to take it even more Depeche Mode-ish, like ’80s electro with just some hard drums. I’d love to go there,” he tells Rap-Up TV.
Also find out who else he’s working with including Jennifer Lopez (“It’s pop, it’s got a little edge to it”), Nelly, B.o.B, and Yelawolf.
Alja Jackson writes for Beyonce’s new album…[/size]
“I’m listening to the record I wrote for Beyonce” she says “Oh mane! Sh*t snappin! So Pretty Girl Bad! ‘Bout to have B on dat PGB! She on it!
Someone sounds a little excited but then, if your work was up for consideration for the widely anticipated new Beyonce album, wouldn’t you be too? Toyaz World contributor Zionology recently did a lengthy feature on Alja Jackson and a few of the artists she has written for.

Looking forward to hearing this. Production mishaps aside with overly loud and inappropriate claps, I liked "I Am...Sasha Fierce".
I'm also really interested in hearing the next step in Beyonce's progression into dance music. Sweet Dreams was more dance than a lot of these songs by R&B artists out there who try to do dance, but just end up with an R&B song with electro elements. Yet, I think she can go even further than that.
And she said that Gaga really inspired her too after their work together, so I hope we get to see that side of her come out.

Oh yeah, we do. I'll merge the topics. I think we'll have at least 2 more years of dance music in its prime. I guess if the urban movement is any indication
2001-2002 Infancy of Urban movement 2003-2005 Peak of Urban movement 2006-2008 Decline of Urban movement
So for this Dance movement, I'm guessing..
2006-2008 Infancy of Dance moment 2009-2011 Peak of Dance movement 2012-2013 Decline of Dance movement
So Beyonce will be getting in just in time lol

Beyonce Knowles better brush up on her lullabies. The 29-year-old singer is pregnant with her first child, the new Us Weekly reports.Despite the happy news, no one was more surprised than the singer herself. "B was shocked. She loves kids, but she wasn't ready to be a mother just yet," says a source of the singer, who married rapper Jay-Z in 2008. "She really wanted to get her album done and tour the world again." ------------------------------------------------ THANK YOU GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She is still releasing an album. Just because she is pregnant doesn't mean anything and I don't think this is officially confirmed yet either. It is still techinically a rumor

It would be the perfect timing I think. I can't think of where she could really go next in her career. The trajectory of her career has been pretty much perfect, progressively building on her brand in each era, and she's the only artist from the last decade to have like an iconic song from each of album. She's got her grammys and her #1s, and she can't really get much richer or more famous. The only thing next would be a GH or a child. But then again, I suppose she still wants that Oscar

Too bad she'll never get it. "and she's the only artist from the last decade to have like an iconic song from each of album." Uhmmm...Britney? BOMT Oops Slave Toxic GM Womanizer

BOMT and Toxic are efinitely iconic. I don't think Oops and Slave have aged well, so those are borderline But GM and Womanizer definitely aren't iconic.

I think Wmz will be looked upon better with age. And the "It's Britney Bitch" line will be remembered, it was a cult classic, that was pretty big when it first came out, kind of like "I'm bringing sexy back" no one says it any more but everyone knows what it means, and who said it and what it meant at the time. So I do think it left an imprint. Gimme More will also be remembered in general for her breakdown and the VMA performance for better or worse, so I do think that GM is memorable just for all the wrong reasons. Wmz though I think will be remembered and will be one of her classics, it's her biggest hit since the digital era, it was a huge hit in Europe and pretty sizable stateside as well, and I think it will age really well mostly because of how under produced it is (which will aid it and break it apart from the over produced dance works that will date the late 00's) and because it is looked at as the song that brought her back so to speak. OIDIA most certainly is iconic, it's pretty much one of the staples of the teen pop era, that along side with Britney's VMA performance and the red cat suit. Very iconic. The images, controversy, and change in Slave 4 U will also surely be remembered in the Britney Spears chronology. Just because it wasn't a "hit" doesn't mean it wasn't iconic. As to Beyonce and her baby, I think it would be wise to cancel the album. Otherwise she will most likely have her first "under performing" era. There is no way she is going to be able to promote her album as strongly as she always does. She nearly flopped with B' Day (if not for Irreplaceable) and that was with her going full force. How could she be expected to sell an album without her putting forth her usual ten-thousand percent mentality. Beyonce sells because she hocks her material at every avenue/chance she gets. The Beyonce stans need to realize that Beyonce's arsenal that keeps her so successful is her no nonsense attitude towards promoting her material in every way and format possible. Not because everyone just needs a fix of Beyonce.

It was the "real comeback" and it was also her first major hit since Toxic. When I think of late 2008 music wise, I think of "Single Ladies", "Just Dance" and "Womanizer".
