her vocals is the main thing that makes me feel iffy about her songs idkk Seriously? I feel like her vocals are pretty amazing, especially live. She's got great range and control. I've seen her live about 9 times ...and every single time she's blown me away. The only other person that I've seen/heard live that can top her is Martina McBride.

LOTS of hypocrisy going on over @ Pulse with Carrie fans. LOL @ them trying to justify Carrie using pop elements (and that this is so country) when they tore Taylor to shreds for doing the same thing. It's all very humorous.

I think the main reason Carrie fans tore Taylor down is because she was blatantly using pop elements.
I, personally, always believed Carrie to be a more classical country singer. I wont deny some of her sons have pop elements to them but she was more so a retain classical country artist. Just my opinion.
I'm not justifying any thin since I really don't like this change.

I think the main reason Carrie fans tore Taylor down is because she was blatantly using pop elements. As if Carrie is completely oblivious to any pop elements contained within her material. lol The fact that it was such an issue in the first place was ridiculous. Haha. Carrie is no Loretta Lynn or Hank Williams. She was country/pop from the very beginning. Well notice I was referring to fans on Pulse.

Is that European language for "we just don't like Carrie Underwood"?

Is that European language for "we just don't like Carrie Underwood"? Well to be honest I don't - but one of the reasons for that is her voice. andthefactthatsheiskellyclarksonandtaylorswiftsarchenemy.

"Underwood is a young woman with a once-in-a-lifetime voice who could literally take any artistic path; that she chooses the most trodden path of all is an example of one of music’s most tragic wastes of talent."
“Cowboy Casanova” will rack up airplay. It’ll drive sales. And it’ll provide a wonderful musical setting for her inevitable award show performances. But it won’t further Underwood’s position as an icon"
THAT PERSON NAILED IT RIGHT ON THE HEAD!
This is, in a nutshell, exactly how I feel about this whole situation with the song ...and it's exactly what worries me to the point of nauseousness about the album.

BEST SONG I HAVE EVER HEARD. ON MY 92ND PLAY SINCE 5 O CLOCK
I was not home at all yesterday so the boyfriend texted me and told me it leaked and i looked it up on youtube and listened to the demo that leaked (it was not the pop version, at least not from what I read). It was amazing! I got home today and have listened to it non-stop since.
Carrie's vocals are amazing, the song is SUPER catchy! Good message for girls not to get caught up with sleazy men. UGH CARRIE IS FLAWLESS

Where is the Pop version? I heard a demo version that leaked that had less country instrumentation, and it was a little longer (the male doing the ooh-ooh's at the beginning was longer mostly) but it wasn't much different

- 45 CARRIE UNDERWOOD Cowboy Casanova 298 - 298 2.642
Too bad this went to radio on a Thursday. Could have had a huge debut! Should debut in the 20's though. Still has 3 more days to gain audience.

The 9513 reviewed it twice and both hated it. I knew I recognized that name. He co-wrote "The Real Slim Shady." That he has also co-written a Carrie Underwood song is just weird. I'm not a big country music fan, but I do like Carrie. This song does nothing for me. It's just kinda there. I don't feel much either way. P.S. She looks like Ashlee Simpson on the single cover.

It wasn't a 'pop version', it was just a demo/unfinished version. There is only 1 official version of "Cowboy Casanova", which was sent to Country only.

I have the pop remix! Well I'm still looking for a real file, but someone gave me a link with an active stream of it.

Can I have the link, LW? PLEEEEASE? Because as long as I'm going to have this song, I might as well listen to the Pop version... Because this ain't country enough for me to call it country. *sigh* I mean, I like it, but I was really looking forward to an album full of "I Told You So"-esque songs.
