Yeah I'm not taking this chart too seriously.

For one, they included 2010, 2011, and 2012, which aren't part of the 2000s decade, which they even admitted to in their promos for it. Soooo it's like a century charts when we're only 12% done the century.

Second of all, Don't Stop beat Pumped Up Kicks. What planet was this in?

A very odd list, indeed. If they were looking to pick an off-the-wall #1, they did it with "The Pot" (though I am a big fan of that song). What makes that choice even more odd is that it's heavier than just about every other song on the countdown.

Plus, I agree with Nick that songs from the 2010s should not be included here. "Don't Stop" being chosen over "Pupmed Up Kicks" is just them trying to different I think, just like how they chose "Up All Night" as the only blink-182 song on the list.

I love the song too, but it seems like Canadians really do love their Tool. They get requested on Facebook pretty much every Late Lunch (request hour) on Live 105 Halifax that I've seen. The Edge plays Tool alot too. The Pot is great, but it doesn't scream the biggest rock song of the past 13 years (yeah, I said 12% in my other post, but I forgot 2000!).

Up All Night is one of my favourites from them, but no way is that bigger than Feeling This or The Rock Show (not to mention the huge pop success of I Miss You). Didn't realize it was their only one on there.

And The Pack AD-Sirens squeezing in? I like it, but no way. If we're looking for CanCon, not a single Mother Mother or Billy Talent song is listed.

I feel like "Take Me Out" never gets enough credit. It's like I'm the only one who truly loves it.

Everyone always overlooks "Adam's Song". That and "Stay Together for the Kids", but that's to be expected.

No Billy Talent shocks me. I thought "Try Honesty" would've been a shoe-in for top 20.

The success of "Sirens" always surprised me. It's good, but nothing about it screams being a bigger hit than their counterparts.

For what it's worth, I did a top 200 of the 2000s here (I made it in 2009, so 1999 is included as well). It's more accurate than this.
