And he will never see any type of success even remotely close to Elvis. He will be lucky to sell more than Blake Lewis Well duhh you're an idiot. No one is gonna sell over a billion records now. And about Blake............ it's like comparing apples to oranges.

Seriously DJ? I know you like Kris better and all, as do I, but you don't think Adam will have any success at all? When Adam sings, he is very good. He could very easily make a good record that many people will like. You and I may not like it, but other people will.

I'm just playing with Joel, but I don't think he is going to be some big star. I feel he will be the type of person who everyone loved on TV, but when it comes time to put an album out, no one will care anymore.

I don't think Adam will be a huge success, but his album will definitely make the Billboard 200 and probably even a few hit singles. I can't see him lasting long though. Maybe I will be wrong though.

Let's just see how he's marketed first, he could take a range of genres from electro to rock (or both) so we don't know what crowd he'll be catering to.

I do too. Quick Vote Kris Allen Wins American Idol: Did America get it right? Yes 49% 30269 No 51% 31749 Total Votes: 62018 Poll on CNN If anything, that poll just makes a case for why Kris won... 49% thought HE should have won, and 51% thought ANYONE ELSE should have. And you have to imagine that more than 2% of that total 51% in the "No - someone else should have won" category wanted Danny to win over Adam (or Allison, or Matt, or Anoop, etc. etc.).

Adam did a interview with ROLLING STONE MAGAZINE “American Idol” ’s Adam Lambert on Sexing Up Johnny Cash and Getting on His SoapboxAdam Lambert didn’t win American Idol, but he’s the first real rock star the show has produced in its eight-year run (apologies to Chris Daughtry and David Cook). Brian Hiatt talked with the man Rolling Stone’s Rob Sheffield dubbed a glam-rock sex god about his controversial “Ring of Fire” cover, conversations with Brian May and the culture war surrounding the finale. What is your goal? What do you want for your career?I want to make records. I want to be an entertainer, you know. I want to help people escape and just dance and have a great time and party and love each other, and I want to be able to raise awareness on a couple of things. You know, soapbox about it. Maybe pushing peoples buttons for a little bit. Always with a little wink at the audience with a little camp. With a little seriousness in it, but I don’t want to take myself too seriously. I want to upset people, I want to make people think, I want to keep people interested.A lot of people are trying to figure out what happened when you lost. Do you have a theory?Danny had a very strong following and when Danny was out of the competition I had a feeling that his fans were probably quicker to default to Kris than to me, you know just because of the kind of artist that he is. So I think that also might have had something to do with it. Like a red state blue state thing?I can see why people would see it as a red state blue state kind of thing. Conservative versus liberal kind of thing but I just want to believe, I may just be being an idealist, but I want to believe that its more about the music which is not always the case. I think that it shouldn’t matter what your religious beliefs are for instance, or your gender or anything else should come into play. But it’s a reality show and that’s what it does. I wish it didn’t but it kind of does. You can read the rest of the interview here.... www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/index.php/2009/05/26/american-idol-s-adam-lambert-on-sexing-up-johnny-cash-and-getting-on-his-soapbox/

Nice interview. I liked how Daughtry and David Cook were dismissed for being faux rock And it was good to hear Adam's insight into why he lost
