Firework does not need to be a single. And I'd prefer for Peacock not to be one either.
3rd: ET 4th: HH 5th: TOTGA 6th: Peacock or TGIF

I saw a TV ad advertising "Firework" and "Peacock".
They are the next planned singles. Obviously things can chance, but they are what is happening as of now.

You might be right. Firework is one of those songs that an artist talks about so much that you know they want to release it early enough in the album's singles run for people to care about (so one of the first 4 singles). And Peacock I think that wouldn't really well for a later single. As much as I like E.T and would want it next, it has the most potential for a later shelf life.

I'm thinking about buying this. I would buy it from my work, where I get 10% off, but we're only getting the edited version. Hmm. Is there any other songs that will be edited besides CTD?

I don't think there's any other swearing on the CD. Are they really editing the CD just for Circle The Drain? I thought they usually don't edit just for one song. I mean if parents are trying to protect their kids from hearing the F word, they should really be more concerned with something like Peacock

Doesn't she say biotch in a song? lol that will probably be edited
and you never know, Peacock could be edited
I've heard stations playing California Gurls edited with squeezing buns and the word ass and stuff so that could also be edited

Possibly Peacock... don't know how they could do that without ruining the song though. I'd just pick up the regular version even if I didn't want to hear the explicit words... I'd skip "Circle The Drain" every time anyway

Nah, that's the inside of her album cover. Slant gave the album 1.5/5 stars lol www.slantmagazine.com/music/review/katy-perry-teenage-dream/2219I love how they pointed out that the chorus of CG is horrid. Usually these reviewers seem to only talk about lyrics and act as if melodies and chords don't exist I love how everyone is dissing Who Am I Living For too ;D

Who reviewed it? Sal? He usually gives horrid reviews to any female besides Madonna. But he's usually kind to Britney.

I've listened to the clips on iTunes the albums solid for about two-thirds of the way through I am convinced that Katy can't do ballads and is startlingly hit and more miss with down energy mid-tempos. The album is strong until about 'The One That Got Away' from then on there's bits and pieces that work 'E.T.' and 'Not Like The Movies' being the two that are chiefly noted. But it's pretty nought after that. I would say the album seems kind of throw away, eight 'solid' tracks more or less back in 03' would have been a win. But considering now a days people just cherry pick the songs they end up liking and forgo the rest of the album Katy did herself no favors here in trying to transition herself from a singles artist to an album aritst. It's far off from an encompassing studio album. Safe to say I'm kind of disappointed. The albums incredibly superficial, where is Katy really behind the gloss and glimmer of it all? Only one solid ballad listed of the set? And if we are really looking at the best part of the album which are the poppy uptempo's even those are generally uninspired, and at the end of the day they are not nearly as satisfying as the highlights from Ke$ha's "Animal", and if that doesn't spell out trouble for Perry then I don't know what does. Putting it in simpler terms: Next.

Wait Monroe, you just listened to the clips? Surely you gotta listen to the whole thing before you can judge it.

I may go over and listen to Hummingbird Heart Beat and The One That Got Away but I've heard nothing positive that would make me interested in listening to the entirety of Pearl or What Am I Living For? I don't feel that my overall impression of the album will change though. I'm just incredibly underwhelmed with it all, yeah Katy has some marginally good uptempo's that have solid production, and? I don't know the thing that made her so interesting beforehand was that she was this edgy bit of pop with quirky-quick witted smart lyrics that made you look twice, now? she seems like so much less. It doesn't stop me from liking the tracks, but it's unsatisfying and incredibly superficial like that badly generic cotton candy you buy at the fair.
